Quick Quotes
Q. Okay, joining us after the third round the Mizuho Americas Open is Hye-Jin Choi. Hye-Jin, you had seven birdies today. Can you talk about what was going well for you on the golf course?
HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) Actually I didn't know I made seven birdies until the end of the round because I was so concentrating. Recently if I played well in the front nine but didn't work out well in the back nine, so I just tried to keep concentrating on it.
Q. A little bit of tricky conditions today: some rain; some cold. How are you staying even throughout the change in conditions this week?
HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) We had of little bit of rain at hole 17, so it was just a little of it. I felt like it was less wind compared to the first and second round, so I was more comfortable with my shots.
And even if it I had a bad situation, I tried to make a good save and I did it.
Q. You had 29 putts today compared with 36 yesterday. Was there something you figured out with your putter during today's round?
HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) I think it was because actually I really hit a lot of putts yesterday, but it was because the green was still hard and if I hit the second shot far to the pin, it was hard to make two putts and I even had a 30-meter putt, too. So I made lots of three-putts yesterday.
Compared to yesterday, today I didn't really have a long putt left, and I made a good save on the difficult putts, too.
Q. Last one: You are in a position to chase tomorrow. Are you going to play aggressive or stick with your game plan?
HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) So actually this course if I go too aggressive I can lose a lot of shots. And today I just tried to be little aggressive but not too aggressive, and I tried to keep my ball where it should not be at -- no. Didn't keep my ball where it should be at, so tomorrow if I have a hole and a chance I'm going to try to be aggressive.
