Q. All right, joined by Amelie after her second round at the Mizuho Americas Open. Very solid round from you today. Lots of birdies on the scorecard. What went into the round today?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: I would say early on the pin positions were just really tough, and also the weather wasn't too great. I would say later on in the round conditions were a bit easier. The wind kind of died down, so I felt like I was able to be more aggressive later towards the rounds; whereas the beginning I was being a bit more conservative.

Q. What were some of the most challenging aspect of conditions today? Was it the wind? Cold? Rain?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: Definitely the pin positions were a lot tougher today, especially starting out. Like 10, 11, 12 was really tougher.

It also rained a bit and it was definitely windier today than yesterday early on. So I think it was just a accumulative of those things that just made it really tough.

Q. Two times around this course now. What are some of the things that you're able to take advantage of on this course and some of the tricky spots about it?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: Yeah, I would definitely say I'm able to take advantage of most of the par-5s out here, you know, getting on in two, I mean, the greens are still really tough, so not even like guaranteed birdie, but like I said, able to take advantage of those.

And then I think just getting to some of the pin locations on this course and even kind of a bit off the tee the rough is kind of thick, so on those holes I'm kind of grinding for par, so, yeah.

Q. Going into the weekend getting to get a play within the LPGA groups, how much are you looking forward to doing that?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: Yeah, I'm just so excited, also just to play in front of crowds again. I love playing in front of people. And then playing with the pros will be such a great experience and definitely can learn a few things from them.

Q. Anyone in particular you're hoping to play with, want to play with?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: Honestly, just the leaders. I think it'll just be fun, so, yeah.

Q. Heading into the weekend with the lead, just what's the mindset when you're top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend?

AMELIE ZALSMAN: Honestly, just kind of the same thing: be aggressive when I can and take advantage of those situations, but still play conservative. The weather doesn't look too great tomorrow, so I think just playing smart.
