TV Quick Quotes

Q. Hannah, tell me a little bit about the conditions. You were just saying it was very, very difficult and you were happy to be playing this morning.

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, no, definitely. I feel like we probably got the better side of the draw in terms of like the temperature and also the wind.

But, yeah, it became really swirly out there. Obviously was on and off with the jumper, getting a little bit cool at times. But there is just a couple pin locations on some really tricky greens that are going to be really hard to manage this afternoon, so, yeah, I'm kind of glad that I'll be having lunch very soon.

Q. From a players' perspective we're hearing in the broadcast it's so, so difficult. What are you having to do during your round to manage these conditions?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's tough. Like sometimes you might have wedges in but you feel like you actually can't go for the pin because it's in a certain area of the green. Trying to leave yourself uphill putts is the thing you're also trying to work for, but it doesn't obviously mean you're always going to actually make that putt.

A couple times today I had five-, six-footers, but had a little bit downhill and I felt like I couldn't even be aggressive at the putt. I just kind of had to almost like lay it up in a sense, which is kind of strange from six feet.

So, yeah, there is definitely moments where you can make some birdies, but making pars will probably be what they will be face thing afternoon.

Q. You're managing it well. What's going to be the key through the weekend?

HANNAH GREEN: I think it looks a little wet tomorrow, so not sure what time I'll be off. Hopefully won't be too bad. I feel like the forecast has been a little bit better than what we've been getting, so I hope that, yeah, I'll have somewhat of a sleep-in.

Hitting fairways and greens is important. Yes, it is very easy to three putt but trying to make golf as boring as possible is what I will be trying to do.
