Q. Joining us after the first round of the Mizuho Americas Open is Iris Lee. Iris, you played a great round today. You're currently second in the AJGA field. Can you talk about what was going well for you on the golf course?

IRIS LEE: Well, so I played good the front nine. I made a lot of long putts and I just -- I didn't do a practice round so I just wanted to be steady and just take a look at the course.

I did miss a few out there, but it's fine. I still played pretty good, so...

Q. Yeah, we heard you were competing in the four-ball championship.

IRIS LEE: Yeah.

Q. Talk about that experience and then flying in to be here this week.

IRIS LEE: So it's like different because four-ball you're playing with a teammate and it was like kind of weird because I would have like a one-footer and I would still have to finish it, you know.

But, yeah, it was fun and I'm really excited to be here.

Q. You are the youngest person in the field this week. How does it feel to be out here and competing not just with other AJGA people, but also alongside the LPGA Tour professionals?

IRIS LEE: I'm really excited. This is my first event, and, yeah, I just can't wait to play with the pros.

Q. And then you're paired with an LPGA Tour mentor.

IRIS LEE: Yeah.

Q. Could you talk about who that is and if you've gotten to meet her yet?

IRIS LEE: It's Megan Khang. I actually met her this morning. I talked with her a little bit. She's really nice.

Yeah, I'm really excited and probably going to learn a lot, so...

Q. And then really strong first day today. How do you want to carry this momentum forward through the next three rounds?

IRIS LEE: Well, now that I have like looked at the course I have like a plan on what I should do on some holes, so just playing like I did today and maybe I can make more putts tomorrow.
