Quick Quotes

Q. 6 and 5 this morning, 6 and 5 this afternoon. How are you winning these matches so handily? What's working for you out there?

GRACE CARTER: I think we've been able to get the momentum pretty quickly. The start of the round, made a couple putts, and yeah.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: Yeah, we made a few birdies at the start, which helped us like get up pretty early. So then we kind of kept that momentum through the round. We were making a bunch of putts when we needed to.

Yeah, she's a great partner, so we had a lot of fun.

Q. Obviously your match ended pretty quick this morning, and then you guys had the last match waiting for the historic 24-hole match to finish. How long did you guys wait in between matches, and how did you fill all that time?

GRACE CARTER: Well, we ended the first match at like 11:45, and we started at 3:15.

Q. Three-hour break?

GRACE CARTER: Yeah. We were basically in the locker room collecting candy for the next day when we aren't playing. I think the time flew pretty fast.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: We just stayed in the locker room, like relaxed.

GRACE CARTER: Tried to stay in the shade.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: Ate some food, warmed up about twice because we weren't sure what time we were going to go out.

GRACE CARTER: The chicken tenders were really good today. Shout out to the chef.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: The food was really good today.

Q. Do you feel like that amount of break kind of helped you and was an advantage as you went into the second match?

GRACE CARTER: I think it helped us reset and think about what we had coming ahead and kind of like a little more strategy, yeah.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: Yeah, pretty much.

Q. Eagle on 11, who made it? Can you walk me through that hole?

GRACE CARTER: That was me. I hit a driver. This morning I hit my 3-wood over the green, and I was a little further today in the fairway. So hit my 3-hybrid to about 30 feet?

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: 25.

GRACE CARTER: 25. I was able to make it. I hit it a little hard. It was downhill, but good thing the hole caught it.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: I just told her, just lag it up there, just two-putt, and she ended up making it. So that was good.

Q. It seems like you guys are having a lot of fun playing together. Do you think that's been a big advantage as you go throughout this match play?

GRACE CARTER: It's probably the most fun I've ever had in a tournament. I think it helps a lot, just like being team chemistry. We both know we're trying. Everything's good.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: I think our chemistry is pretty good between each other, like we kind of back each other up. When someone has a bad hole, we make sure that the next person --

GRACE CARTER: The other person is able to kind of finish out pretty nicely.

ALEXANDRA SNYDER: Yeah.
