THE MODERATOR: First off, have you had a chance to see this course? Have you ever played it before?

CLARISSA TEMELO: Yes, I played it last year. I really enjoyed it. I love it. Yeah, just it's a hard course. If you know how to play it and if you're of course striking the ball the way you should be, it should be fine.

If not, it's going to be a very fun course.

Q. What do you think it takes to play well out here? What do you think you need to have tightened up this week?

CLARISSA TEMELO: Definitely good tee shots. I feel good tee shots are what going to like take you from there. Good tee shot will give a good birdie opportunity but could also be not very good.

Q. You've played in several LPGA events, majors last year as well. What do you hope to get from this week playing with some of the best players in the world?

CLARISSA TEMELO: Yeah, the LPGA is my dream, so every time I'm here I just try to enjoy it, get as much experience as I can. Just like I'm playing with my idols so it's very amazing for me. It's like a dream coming true.

Q. Do you have any idols here this week?

CLARISSA TEMELO: Well for me my idol is Gaby, Mexican. I had the opportunity to play with her a couple times so I love her. Of course Nelly, she just won, so I'm very excited to like see her again.

Q. And when you mentioned Gaby, what is it about Gaby that you've always looked up to as you've grown up?

CLARISSA TEMELO: I feel like I have the opportunity to practice with her, like a couple of times so just like getting to know the way that she is not just like as a golfer but as a person, I mean, I feel like that is what has touched me the most.

Q. Is it about the way she interacts with different folks off the golf course or any specific moments you have to call out?

CLARISSA TEMELO: I just feel it's all the experience she has and she's willing to share that with you and help you as much as she can.

Q. Lastly, what does it mean to you in particular to have a tournament, LPGA tournament in Mexico?

CLARISSA TEMELO: Oh, it's amazing. I mean, I feel that this just like inspires more people. I have actually a couple people who are traveling here and they're like, oh, my God, you're going to play with Nelly Korda and all that.

It's nice for them to have someone like they were close to me, like, I don't know, in junior golf, all that. It's like, oh, now she's playing on LPGA with all of our idols.

So I feel that can be very helpful for other generations as well.

Q. Several Mexican players in the field this week. How important do you think that is for an event like this?

CLARISSA TEMELO: I think that is super important. I love there are a lot Mexican players in the field. Just talks about the way in Mexico we can also play in the LPGA and achieve our dreams and all that.

So I'm very excited.

Q. I notice you have a couple ball markers on your hat. Any specific story behind that?

CLARISSA TEMELO: These I've use it since I was, I don't know, very little, maybe like seven years. I lost all my ball markers and that's the only one I still have.

Then I have a Mexican flag. I take Mexico everywhere. And this one just because I like it, yeah.
