Quick Quotes
Q. Joining us after the final round of The Chevron Championship is Lottie Woad. Lottie, a strong finish today. Sitting in the Top 10. Talk about how you're feeling after this week.
LOTTIE WOAD: Feeling pretty good. Definitely played a lot better over the weekend and scored a lot better over the weekend, so I think it's always nice to do it that way round.
Definitely need to work on my starts a bit. Yeah, Top 10 is pretty solid, so happy with it?
Q. You played in a group with Yunseo today who is an elite amateur, which you were very much one of those just a few years ago. Can you talk about how it feels for you to see this next generation coming through and even people you played with before?
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it makes me feel old even though I feel like I'm not even old. Yeah, she played great. Definitely looks like one of us out here, and, I mean, only couple years ago I was making my debut in this event and my first pro start in a professional event.
Cool that all the amateurs get opportunities to play in the majors.
Q. We are hitting the busy season on the LPGA Tour. Talk about what you're working on in your game and what you feel like is going really well.
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I feel like I'm always trying to work my putter and I feel like that's the difference maker out here. Pretty happy with that this week.
I hit a lot of good putts today and yesterday. Not all of them went in, but happy how I was rolling it. Definitely improved my short game. First two day was bit of a struggle tee-to-green. Made some nice chip-ins and good scrambles.
Probably need to work on the driver a little bit. I mean, this course is pretty wide, so wasn't really an issue. I feel like I wasn't quite striking it as well as I usually would.
Q. There has been lots fans out here and they raised the purse by $1 million this week and JM did last week. Talk about the momentum you're seeing in women's golf.
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it's great. Definitely a nice little message that's come through the last two weeks. Yeah, good to see the direction the LPGA and women's golf is going. Hopefully keeps on happening.
Q. Can you talk about the last few holes and how tough they were and how you survived them?
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I think going ton 15 is kind of a backlog on that hole anyway, so you got to wait a little bit and the wind is gusting all over that hole and the pin was brutal.
Definitely had to just play away from that and just take the par there. Made a good birdie on the Par-5. Went in the rough off the tee so had to layup, but wedged it close so that was nice.
17 is a pretty brutal hole and that pin was the worst one of the week I would say, so I made bogey there, but I thought that was probably average for the field.
Hit a nice shot into 18 about 20, 25 feet. Left myself four foot for par, so that wasn't ideal, but managed to hole that.
Overall pretty good last four holes.
Q. If you look back at Evian last year and the progression until now, what does this week say about how much you learned about your mental game and technical game?
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I think so. It was definitely a grind the first couple days like I said. I didn't play the best tee to green. Definitely hit it pretty good over the weekend. Just trying to stay in it and make sure I made the weekend. Then knew I could move up.
I think being able to get a Top 10 without having any A-game.
