THE CHEVRON CHAMPIONSHIP

April 26, 2026

Charley Hull

Houston, Texas, USA

Memorial Park Golf Course

Quick Quotes

Q. Joining us after the final round of The Chevron Championship is Charley Hull. Charley, a good top 10 finish. Talk a bit about the state of your game and how this gets you ready for the rest the major season?

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, coming into this week like I wasn't quite compressing it how I wanted to. My coach was here and on like Tuesday we found something on the driving range and it really worked. I feel quite confident. It's just a shame coming in. Like on 16 I was right in between clubs but I crunched my 4-iron and carried five yards of the pin too much, hit the edge of the green, and then splashed into the water, so finished bogey, bogey, par. I was a little bit P-ed off coming in.

I'm happy I holed that putt on 18. I don't even know where I finished. I couldn't see on the leaderboard. I was like all grumpy.

Q. You had some thoughts at the beginning of the week about what you want a major championship venue to look like.

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.

Q. What were some of your impressions about Memorial Park this week?

CHARLEY HULL: Pretty much what Nelly said. I think she got the nail on head right there. Like how par-5s are good for like -- when you want to be able to get to them you hot a good drive, and you can get to them in two, and then it's -- I don't see the fun in the par-5s sometimes when it's a three-shot holed. Like you should be rewarded for hitting a good drive.

So I like what they did on 16, even though I made bogey today. I like the longer par-3s and I like the longer iron shots into the greens. It's just way more of a test.

Q. Where are you going with your game from here? Is there anything you feel like you want to work on more or you feel like you're in a good spot?

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I just want to work on what me and my coach was working on. Keeping my left heel on the ground through impact, being more solid on that base there.

And I think it's from like where I tore my ankle I kind of like over the last six months been protecting it a little bit, so it's gradually got more and more -- like I've come up through impacts, so now it's strong enough. I can get right into it.

Yeah, I feel good. Going home for a week and back for the other two tournaments.
