Quick Quotes

Q. Joining us today after the third round of The Chevron Championship is Patty Tavatanakit. Patty, what are your thoughts about all the up and downs for pars out there?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: You just do what you got to do. It's a major championship. It's playing tough. You're not going to always have your best, but you just got figure out what's in front of you.

Q. What are the conditions out there like, the heat, humidity?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: It was really hot today. I thought it was really muggy. It got breezy but today just felt a lot more humid than like every other day.

Which is fine. I grew up in it Thailand.

Q. That's true. The position that you put yourself in for tomorrow, what's the game plan to try and catch Nelly?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I'm not sure. I feel like every day I've just been like figuring out like golf and it's been really nice. It's been enjoyable. And, again, I'll go figure it out tomorrow.

Q. Were you paying attention throughout the round what the difference was between you and Nelly? Are you looking at leaderboards?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I mean, the scores are walking with us, so, I mean, I saw; but at the same time, I wasn't trying to like chase or make birdies. I just really stuck to my game and just, you know, do the best I can at every shot.

Q. Do you feel like you can be aggressive tomorrow?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I have nothing to lose. I have nothing to lose from day one. I'm trying to be aggressive but sometimes the ball just doesn't go there. But, yeah.

Q. How much confidence are you playing with right now to know that you can basically get it up and down from the moon at this point?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I feel like it comes a lot with like feeling really free overall. Like not necessarily like it's because like I know I can get up and down. It's just if I don't, it's okay. Like people are going to make bogeys and it's inevitable.

It's nothing you can avoid or run away from. As long as you're playing golf you're going to make bogeys and miss putts. You're going to hit good shots, hit great drives. It's unavoidable.

Q. How much do you enjoy the opportunity to chase down a major championship?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I feel like it's been fun so far, and there is nothing to look back to. If anything, I have so much to look forward to. Not necessarily like trying to win tomorrow or anything. I feel like I'm really happy with where I am with myself, with my relationship with golf, with everything. I feel like my life is falling into place very center, like internally.

So good golf, bad golf, doesn't really do much to me. It's just a day. Yeah, I'm just really grateful to get to wake up every morning and like figure this game out. It's been fun.
