Q. After this competition, what's the path back to get to the top 10 on the leaderboard?

ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, if you look at the scoring, it feels like I'm far away, but in reality, the game actually felt really good. Struggled quite a bit on the greens. I know a lot of us did. These greens are very tricky. There's definitely a lot of knowledge that comes into putting well on these greens.

I don't want to change anything. I don't feel like I need to change anything. I've just got to keep plugging along. I feel like the game is really in a good spot. It's just one of those weeks where you don't score, and it doesn't reflect the things that you're doing well.

Q. Does being the local player change anything when it comes to mindset, competitiveness?

ABRAHAM ANCER: I've played in Mexico quite a bit, and obviously I really want to play good really, really bad, and you definitely want it a little bit more and maybe you put a little more pressure. But I just try to enjoy it, I try to embrace it. I learned from the South Africans how much they embraced it. I played with Burmester, and he was just having the best time of his life, and I tried to do that, but we're very different in a way.

When things are not going your way, it's tough to embrace it and really be happy, and you're obviously just a little bit upset inside. But the crowd was phenomenal, and it was really good to see the amount of kids that came out, so that was really cool. I can't wait for next year.

Q. What are your thoughts on Jon's play and the overall field of Spanish players and how they came out this week?

ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, I mean, they are a force to reckon with, for sure. I know how well Josele can play, Puig, being teammates with them last year and the years before, and then Rahm, I've played with him for a long time, and he's a monster. He doesn't have any flaws, really.
