Quick Quotes
Q. A great week, obviously your second best LIV Golf finish. What are your overall thoughts on how you played this week?
JOSELE BALLESTER: I don't know, honestly. Right now I'm a little disappointed. Not very happy with the way I finished the last three holes or the way that I felt around the greens. Honestly, I didn't feel that comfortable today, but I'm a great competitor, and I kind of kept it going and kept it interesting towards the end.
Just didn't execute, didn't feel that comfortable. Maybe right now it's a lot of negatives, but yeah, it's been a great week overall. I started 3-over the front nine on Thursday, so finishing solo third is not too bad I feel like.
There's definitely things that I need to improve in order to win these tournaments. But yeah, I'll have to think a little bit in the next few days.
Q. You're obviously still very young. What do you learn from coming close?
JOSELE BALLESTER: Well, as my dad always tells me, it's about giving yourself opportunities. Some days will be a little bit better, other days not that well. But yeah, as you said, I'm still new to this profession, as well. These environments, these feelings are new for me, and hopefully next time I'll do a little bit better.
Q. You do climb up the LIV standings now. That third place spot is still available if you maybe have a win or a great week in Virginia. Is that something on your mind?
JOSELE BALLESTER: Yeah, for sure. It's not something I was thinking about when I was playing, but for sure. My game is pretty good, and if I can find myself a little more comfortable around the greens when I'm in contention, I'll be pretty comfortable that I can close it out.
Q. Who chose that walk-up song for you?
JOSELE BALLESTER: Luis did. It was actually pretty nice on the final shot of the tournament I didn't have it. I think the DJ or whoever was in charge, it was kind of nice, he just put something different because it was atrocious, it was terrible. But we've been doing these things that Legion XIII started last year.
I'm going to say I feel like it's more fun when you're watching it for another team than when it's happening for yourself, especially when on 18 you're finishing on this kind of shot with all the people. But also it's part of the show. It's part of having fun and competing against your best buddies. Yeah, I kind of enjoyed it, and I think I executed some pretty decent shots with that song.
Q. Did you get to pick one for someone else?
JOSELE BALLESTER: I did, yeah.
Q. What did you pick?
JOSELE BALLESTER: I picked one for Sergio.
Q. What was the song?
JOSELE BALLESTER: "Oops, I Did It Again," by Britney Spears.
