JM EAGLE LA CHAMPIONSHIP

April 18, 2026

Hannah Green

Los Angeles, California, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Pleased to be joined by Hannah Green after the third round at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. 5-under round today; 67. Can you talk a little bit about your day today. Looks like maybe not the best ball striking day, but still able to put up a great score. How did you manage that out there today?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I felt like I was hitting the ball well the previous two rounds. Today kind of caught me off guard a little bit. Felt like I hit it better off the tee but perhaps a couple wayward drives that kind of made it a bit tricky to make a par.

Yeah, didn't hit many greens. Felt like I really had to scramble today. It was nice, I did have a chip in, and the rest the shots I had I kind of left myself all right positions.

After this I'll probably go hit a few balls. I don't feel like I normally do that after a round, but I feel like I need to tidy it up. I feel like every time you go to the range after a round you just flush it, so it's going to be a little bit annoying.

I think some reps will be good for tomorrow, so hopefully, yeah, I can kind of tidy that up.

Q. And then obviously had past success here; finished with a couple birdies in your last few holes. Talk about what that means leading into tomorrow and the momentum it might bring.

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, absolutely. Like you said, I didn't hit that many greens today so it was nice that I did feel confident on the putter. I don't know how many putts I had, but couldn't have been many. Finishing with a couple birdies in the last three holes is always really nice momentum.

I don't know what Sei Young is doing, but feel like she's going very low and it's going to be quite difficult to catch her. I don't know if I'll be last group or second to the last group. It's going to be tough to make that many birdies to catch up, so nice to have two to finish.

Q. While you're on the course it was announced another $1 million added to the prize pool this week moving from 3.75 to 4.75; also making it the largest purse that's not a major or the Tour Championship. Can you talk about the support that JM Eagle and Plastpro brought to this event?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I was quite shocked when Jeremy from Outlyr told me that. I was like -- I kind of said an F bomb, but in a good way.

Yeah, amazing news for all us players. Whether it did it before round one started or on the weekend, still amazing news for us players.

I really think when they jumped on board for this tournament all the other tournaments kind of felt like they had to also increase their purses and also raise the bar with getting hotel rooms or cars, whatever it may be.

They've definitely been the trendsetter for other events on Tour. I'm not surprised that Walter announced that today.

Q. As you said we don't know what Sei Young will finish at. How do you put that out of your mind for tomorrow and go about your business and focus on trying to go as low as you can?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's going to be really difficult. On this golf course you can easily see how there are birdies to be made. It's also quite sometimes difficult to make some pars.

I don't really know where they put the pin locations for tomorrow, but I'm sure they'll be tricky and there will be some holes that will probably play easy.

I've noticed the last two days the wind is kind of switched at times so that will be tricky to manage.

The ball is going far off the tee. The fairways are bouncy and the greens are getting firmer. I just got to, yeah, try and focus on my game as much as possible. Obviously easier said than done.

Could be just trying to play for second place. Sei Young is very good at winning tournaments. She obviously has the lowest score record on Tour. She very good at making birdies and going under par and going low.

Yeah, going to be hard to not get caught up in that. That's what I'm going to have to do tomorrow.

Q. I would imagine your experience will help do you that. In terms of this golf course though, as you said, it's not necessarily a golf course you can be really aggressive on. How do you temper that with wanting to try and maybe be a little more aggressive to make something happen?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I feel like probably the last two days more noticeably it was quite hard to commit to shots because the greens were firming up and the wind direction was kind of changing. Sometimes you don't always have the perfect club in. You have to hit a three quarter shot or might not be 100% ready to hit it.

So I think it will help having experience playing in those type of conditions.

But, yeah, sometimes I said before. Having a 20-footer up the hill is better than a 10-footer down the hill.

Working with my caddie Dave just making sure we've giving us the best opportunity to make birdie and still be aggressive on the golf course.

Q. Having played here a bunch you feel like you know where to miss and maybe leave some shots?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I think so. Obviously, yeah, it all depends on the pin locations. It's pretty obvious where you do want to make sure you miss it if you perhaps don't have a shot. It seems like long of every green is not where you want to be at El Cab. Generally that is always short. Short most of the time. There are bunkers and some of them have actually been quite tough to play out of. Some don't have that much sand.

But, yeah, hopefully I don't have to worry about bunkers and I'll hit more greens in regulation tomorrow.
