JM EAGLE LA CHAMPIONSHIP

April 18, 2026

Lottie Woad

Los Angeles, California, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. We are joined by Lottie Woad after her third round at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. 7-under round today. Jumped quite far up the leaderboard into the Top 5 now. Talk a little bit about the day today and maybe the differences between the first couple rounds.

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, played pretty good tee-to-green today and gave myself a lot of chances and hit a lot of shots inside ten feet, so that's always nice to holed those.

And honestly played decent the last couple days. Just didn't make that many putts. Yesterday was of bit of a struggle. I was dealing with some neck issues yesterday. Couldn't really hit the ball that great.

Today it loosened up a little bit after some treatment and it was kind of one of those rounds where it's like I'm just going to have to play with what I got and it was okay in the end. Hopefully tomorrow be slightly better.

Q. You mentioned the neck a little bit. Did you feel like you had to change anything this your swing to compensate for that or like you said you loosened up so things fell back into place?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I think yesterday I definitely was not hitting it as far, kind of was (indiscernible) everything and hit a few poor shots just like kind of trying to not hurt it more.

But today I just told myself, you know, I can't make it worse so just hit it normally and it was pretty much normal today in terms of swing.

Q. Obviously you make the big jump up the board. You still see where you shake out, but start of the day what was the game plan? What did you try to get done?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I mean, starting at 3-under, you know, very far back, so pretty much just go at most pins and try and make birdies. I am still going to be too far back, but hopefully a good round tomorrow and have a nice finish.

Q. Is this a course that you can go at pins? You feel like you can be aggressive on the way this is laid out?

LOTTIE WOAD: I think if you have short clubs in, yes. They are definitely firming up a little bit so there is a few pins you need watch out for. You got a few backstops here and there so you can use those as well to get it close.

Q. You mentioned the neck is one reason. Was there anything in your game that changed from yesterday or today that allowed you to have more success?

LOTTIE WOAD: I think at this hit it slightly closer than I did yesterday, but I've been hitting good putts all week. Been rolling it over my lines; just haven't quite gone in. Today more of them went in. Wasn't really much of a difference.

Q. What is it like playing in LA for you? Not exactly your typical LPGA city in many ways.

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it's great. Not been here before so very busy it seems. Different to kind of where I grew up.

Yeah, been getting some good crowds so it's been nice.

Q. What have you learned from previous rounds that you took into today?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I think for each tournament I'm seeing a new golf course pretty much all year even though it's technically not my rookie year.

So just trying to learn as much as I can in the practice days and also during the first couple days. Just picking up more and more about the course and kind of where you can feed into pins, where the run-offs are. Just the more I play it the more familiar it is.

Q. To transition from to this week into the major week, what that's going to be like. I know a couple of the players didn't show up because of the turnaround. How does that affect you?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I mean, I think I just wanted to play leading into Chevron. Just I think it's always good to get rounds under the belt. And, again, I've not played anywhere, so I'm just trying to tick off as many events as I can.

I want to see every course that we have out here, so yea, I wanted to play.

Q. All new experience is a good thing, right?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, definitely.
