SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

April 18, 2026

Harrison Frazar

Bradenton, Florida, USA

Press Conference

The Concession Golf Club

THE MODERATOR: We're joined by Harrison Frazar here at the 2026 Senior PGA Championship. Harrison, 7-under on the day. What was working out there for you?

HARRISON FRAZAR: I got off to a little bit of a rocky start. I actually had a terrible session on the range and just decided to really focus on the basics here. Like I said, a rocky start.

I bogeyed four. Made about a 25-footer on five and then I hit it close on six and then hit a great shot on seven to about 20 feet and made that. That just kind of kick-started me, but it was just really trying to focus on fairways, greens, be smart. If you're going to make a mistake, leave it somewhere where you can survive, and I made a few putts.

At the same time, I missed two 4-footers, but I just hit a few good shots at the right time and made some putts.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Harrison, nice round. The perception is that Concession is a tough golf course, but the scores aren't showing that. Is this place showing any teeth this weekend? Is there a lot of risk/reward? Can you explain, please?

HARRISON FRAZAR: I wouldn't say it's not showing any teeth. I mean, I think I just looked at the board, and half the field out there right now is 2- or 3-over par it looked like.

You know, it's a precise golf course. You have very small sections to hit the ball. There's plenty of room off the tee to play back, but if you're going to hit driver and try to hit it in the necks, you're going to have deep bunkers on one side and water on the other.

So if you're pulling it off, you're getting rewarded with a short club. If you lay back more conservatively, you're hitting 6-iron, 7-iron, 5-irons into some of the holes. I think it's got teeth.

But, you know, today the wind blew 5 miles an hour. If it decided to blow 15 out here, I think it would be a totally different story.

Q. With the tee moved up on number 12, just talk about how you played that today.

HARRISON FRAZAR: You know, that's one actually I made the comment I thought that was too far up, because it was only about 245, maybe 250 to the front, but that's a diabolical green, and the pin is in a really tough spot.

That's just a hybrid for me, that number, with a little bit of help right to left. It was just a beautiful high draw, basically a 2-iron, and hit it exactly the way I drew it up, and it landed right on the front and rolled up to about 20 feet.

I had a 20-footer going right across sideways off the hill. It broke 4 feet, something like that.

Q. When you look at the closing five, six holes with the guys playing today, where are the areas you have to be careful on?

HARRISON FRAZAR: So the pin on 14, if the wind -- so that wind -- you're always playing 13, and you're expecting the wind to be one way because you're kind of open, and then you get on 14, and the wind feels different. That's a hard club to pull. That pin is sitting up on a little shelf. That will be tough.

If the wind stays the way it is, 15 is a little in right to left. You have to -- or it's really just right to left. You've really got to pinch between the water and the bunkers today on 15 off the tee.

And 16 you've got to play it a little bit further right than you did the last couple, and those are two dicey pins I thought on 17 and 18. But, once again, if you hit good shots, you can get it.

Q. So the hybrid on number 12, did you say you hit the hybrid about 240? Is that what you hit a hybrid?

HARRISON FRAZAR: Off the tee for me that's about a 245 club in the air, and it was just a high draw, so it flew 250.

Q. What are you hitting a driver these days?

HARRISON FRAZAR: In the air is probably just like a day today, if there's no wind, it's a 292, 293 carry.
