SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

April 18, 2026

Miguel Angel Jimenez

Bradenton, Florida, USA

Press Conference

The Concession Golf Club

THE MODERATOR: Miguel Angel Jimenez is with us now at the 2026 Senior PGA Championship. Miguel, what can you tell us about your hole-in-one today?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: Well, hole number six, hole-in-one. For a little word, when I make my last hole-in-one a couple of years already. Yeah, I have a 7-iron, it's a little downwind. The flag is back left, and I hit a beautiful 7-iron. Go with the flag and a shot with the hole. In the hole there. People -- I cannot see the base of the hole, but the people with the hands happened. It's a great shot.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Do you keep track how many holes in ones you have in competition?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: I have in competition 16.

Q. 16. What would be the best one? If you have to choose one, can you choose one of them?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: All of them are very good. All of them are eagle. All of them were very nice.

Already five hole-in-ones in the champions. I have ten hole-in-ones on the European Tour and one hole-in-one in 2001 and '17, yeah. 2016, yeah.

Q. It looks like nobody is running away with this today, so you as a former senior major champion, does that give you any sort of advantage tomorrow? Nobody is pulling away today, so you're still in the thick of this. Being that you've won one or two of these things, does that give you an advantage going into tomorrow?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: Nobody is advantage. I don't know if advantage, no advantage. The leader is minus-11 now I think. Well, you never know. You know, there are some good names up there, and the only thing you need to do tomorrow is play with passion and everything coming to you.

I've been playing well, playing solid. Only one mistake today on hole number 17. I have the lie there with my 5-wood as a second shot and put what I can play from there, put in the bunker.

Then I make a double-bogey today on number five. You're looking for make birdies, you make a bogey. You know, the only bad thing today.

No, you know, I'm playing well. I'm hitting good. Just the only thing for tomorrow is keep passions and anything happens.

Q. Does this course let you play aggressive tomorrow?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: Well, we're trying to play my game. My game is quite aggressive. Sometimes it's close coming because maybe sometimes too aggressive. I try to do my best.

Yeah, of course, I try to hit to the flag. You know, (indiscernible) properly. If you are hitting good, you need to go for it, you know.

Q. Do you know much about the guy that's leading the tournament?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: No, no, no.

Q. When you don't know that, is that --

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: I don't know, but I believe, well, he's good player. Being here after three rounds, and

he's 11-under par at the moment. I think he has to be playing well, especially on this golf course.

You need to be very precise, especially with the shots to the greens, because there are a lot of (indiscernible), and they're very easy to escape. It's tough. It's tough. He's a good player to be able to manage.
