Q. Obviously nice playing today. You put yourself in great position going into the weekend. Can you just talk about today's round and the next 36 holes?

HAROLD VARNER III: Yeah, it's going to be fun. The course is good. It's a great opportunity. I'm doing what I love doing. I love playing golf; I've talked to you about it. With all the noise and all the other stuff, it's just so good to get out there. You don't think about it. I'm super privileged to have that opportunity to be able to go do something and get away from it.

Q. How was it to play with Jon today? He's certainly been our best player since he's joined the league --

HAROLD VARNER III: I think it's a great opportunity. I think it's something that I look forward to. I think I was looking forward to it today. I think I'm looking forward to it the next two days. It's competing; it's competition; I love it.

Q. What is the challenge of this course?

HAROLD VARNER III: You've got to be in the right position on the greens. My caddie does all the altitude and stuff like that, so that's all his deal, so I'm playing at sea level numbers. I don't know. I think it's just a good solid course. I played well here last year, got a little stomach problem, didn't do well on Sunday. I was excited to come back. I love being here. It's an awesome place.

Q. Do you feel like this is revenge for --

HAROLD VARNER III: Revenge? I don't think golf works that way. I wish it did; I'd be really good at golf.

Q. How do you feel in Mexico?

HAROLD VARNER III: I think I fit in really well, but I don't speak any Spanish. There's some things that go my way and some things that don't.

Q. What do you prefer to eat?

HAROLD VARNER III: I eat anything except shellfish, so I'm pretty not picky, but it's so nice to be able to walk to dinner. I enjoy it here. I've always had a good time here.

Q. What is the thing you're looking forward to in Mexico?

HAROLD VARNER III: Well, for the next 36 holes, playing some good golf. That's all that matters. I don't care where we are. Super honored to be here. It's a great turnout. Today was awesome. Obviously everyone loves Jon Rahm. I think I'm playing with Luis tomorrow. They support the Spanish players, and it is what it is, so I like the excitement of not knowing what you guys are yelling at them. It's good.
