TV Quick Quotes

Q. Jon, yesterday in your post-round interview you talked about the fact that this course is going to test your patience, especially on the greens. That doesn't ease the pain on those short ones that don't do what you think, does it?

JON RAHM: Yeah, yeah, and today was a bit of a frustrating day. I think whether it was the wind or the altitude, there was quite a few shots that were an a really good line and were very far off. This one on 18 was an example, the one on 8 is another one, the wedge shot on 7. There's things that can happen, but it doesn't make it any easier, obviously.

Q. I talked earlier in the show about last year there was the disappointment of not winning, even though you won the individual championship, and you were noticeably determined not to let that happen again. You want to win, but you want to run the tables every week you can. How close are you to being able to do that?

JON RAHM: I mean, it takes a lot to win, and you also need a little bit of luck. I'm clearly playing good enough, I just need to take advantage of the opportunities I've been giving myself. I'm playing good golf, but I wish I was as complete as I felt in Hong Kong more often. There's still parts of the game that don't feel as good as I would like it to, and I think that's exactly what you need to do exactly what you just said, win three, four, five times in a season. You need to feel like everything is firing on full cylinders. As good as I'm playing, I still feel like it could be better.

Q. Your team is leading by 19 strokes; what does that say about that composition?

JON RAHM: Well, I think all of us would say, if you take me out of the equation, I know Tyrrell had a high finish in Adelaide, but besides that, none of them will tell you they've been playing good golf. I think it's one of those things where they were all a lot closer than it seemed score-wise, and it's nice to see them put it all together. I know Caleb didn't have the best day yesterday, but he does have an ability to get better every day and somehow show up on Sunday to help us win. I hope we don't need him to do that, but I hope we can all keep playing good golf and get that first win.
