Quick Quotes
Q. What a finish there. Another birdie, 2-under. You are going into Sunday with that score of multiple birdies on the day. How does it feel to go into the final day playing how you are playing?
JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah, I feel like I played probably the best of the week it. I hit it really solid, played a lot of really conservative shots. Me and my caddie were talking walking off the green. I feel like we hit every number we were trying to hit today. Just kind of that's what the course gave me. If my putter would have cooperated a little bit, I think it would have been really special, but missed a few short ones where.
Q. You told us yesterday that you really wanted to improve going into the weekend. To see that actually happening as you are going through the course, how much confidence does that give you going through throughout the day?
JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah, it's great. I feel like I got off to a great start. Was kind of bummed that I was even through six. I feel like I should have been a few under.
Yeah, the back nine kind of gave some birdies. It was accessible at times, and I was able to capitalize at least on the back. It was good.
Q. So the same thing yesterday, but just today do you feel like you're still in contention for this thing?
JACOB BRIDGEMAN: I feel like Rory is back at 12. I don't know. Yeah, this course doesn't give you that much, but I'm pleased with 3-under today. I think anything under par is very good, and yeah, for the first time it's to learn, so yeah, I'm pleased.
Q. Is it intimidating to play seeing the scoreboard and seeing where guys like Rory are at, or do you not even look at it?
JACOB BRIDGEMAN: No, maybe it would have been a little bit different if I was kind of in the hunt, but no, I'm just trying to get a good finish now. Kind of claw my way back after yesterday. Kind of disappointed with that.
But yeah, today was good. I put myself in a pretty good spot.
Q. How does it feel in general to first make the cut and then you finish your round with a birdie going into the final round of Augusta tomorrow?
JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah, my physio says I always birdie 18. I was kind of thinking about it when I hit it up there. I have to knock this in so I can say something to him in a couple of minutes.
Yeah, it's great. Birdieing the last hole is a lot of fun. It makes lunch taste a little bit better, and I can be a little bit more smiley talking to you guys.
