Quick Quotes
Q. Six birdies today. Was there a good score -- was it out there today?
COREY CONNERS: I think so. You know, I did a good job. On some of the holes I've given myself good looks. Yeah, just too many mistakes to not have the round that I wanted.
Felt like I played a lot of holes exactly how I wanted to and gave myself good chances that I was able to convert; few holes where not quite as planned.
Q. You're a steady guy, pretty much every time. When the scorecard is going birdie, bogey, birdie, bogey, how do you stay steady mentally?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, try to add more birdies I guess. Try and build of the good stuff. Try and make -- when you make a birdie try and use that to get yourself set up on the next hole and try and get another chance.
But, yeah, wasn't really thrilled with the up-and-down round.
Q. Was this maybe the best day of the three with the driver and with the putter?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I think so. I did roll in some nice putts. Couple tough misses on two and 11 that hit way to the left with the driver. Other than that, was really solid.
And then, yeah, a lot of good putts. Just wasn't really able to put a good round together.
Q. What are the guys going to see from the golf course later today?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it's playing beautifully. Firming up. Finding a couple of the tee shots -- a little bit different wind direction today. Couple tee shots are running out. The greens are just as firm and fast, if not firmer and faster.
It'll be a challenge but there are a few pins today where you can use slopes to kind of work it in. Got to pick your spots, but it's out there.
Q. Is it a fairly simple game plan for you for tomorrow, just try to get a low one in here?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, you can't really force things around here, so just try and play my game hopefully a little more consistent and be steady and have some fun and they'll result in some birdies.
Q. How important is it for to you leave here on a good high note?
COREY CONNERS: It is what it is. You know, obviously I want to have a great day tomorrow and be feeling good leaving here. But it's not the most important thing I guess.
