MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 11, 2026

Brian Harman

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Standing on the fifth tee yesterday, what's your mentality?

BRIAN HARMAN: No different. I was frustrated that my golf tournament was pretty much over. But played some great golf since then, you know. Just the golf tournament started a day too early for me.

Q. You had a 67, that's your best round ever at Augusta National. How does that feel?

BRIAN HARMAN: Played some nice golf today. A weird start. Nice up and down on one. Played really nice.

Q. What did you do differently?

BRIAN HARMAN: Differently?

Q. From 10 over to 22 holes.

BRIAN HARMAN: You play golf?

Q. You got to change something, right?

BRIAN HARMAN: No, no. I believe in myself. I know it's always just right around the corner. It's hard to keep telling yourself that sometimes when you haven't seen a lot of evidence, but I've got 15 years to show you that right around the corner is pretty good.

Q. This also is the lowest round of the day so far. Are you kind of aware when of that when you are going through the course?

BRIAN HARMAN: No, man, I'm trying to shoot the best score I can. Like I said, I shot myself out of the golf tournament the first day, unfortunately. It's nice to see a couple of good rounds around here. You know, this place has always kind of miffed me a little bit. I come here, prepare, and I can shoot some low scores, and feel like I can contend. Then the golf tournament just kind of sneaks up on me.

Just trying to have another good one tomorrow and see if I can't catch lightning here one year.

Q. Is there a shot that is memorable since you started the hot streak yesterday? Is it almost holing out on five, or is it the second putt on eight yesterday that sticks out for you?

BRIAN HARMAN: The second putt on eight kept it going, but that second shot on five. Yeah, I hit some good shots. Just kind of a razor's edge around here. If you're not right on -- if you are right on, you can let a lot of shots right next to the hole, but if you're not, you're going to hit some spots that you can't get up and down from.

The first day, you know, for the first three holes didn't miss a shot. Those 2-unders should have been 3. Then I get up on four and pull it into the woods, and it just sort of put me on my heels. I was just a little off after that.

The game has been trending. It's just nice that I'm shooting a couple of scores that are close to where I've been playing.

Q. How did the course compare today to the first two days? Was it a little tougher today, hole locations, anything?

BRIAN HARMAN: The course is in similar shape as it was yesterday. The pin locations I think are a little tougher than yesterday.

Q. On 15 you had that putt. Is that one shot that you wish you had back, or is there a shot in this round that you think, I wish I could do one over?

BRIAN HARMAN: You know, that second shot into 15, I'm in between 5-wood and 3-wood there, so I'm trying to hoist a 3-wood. Job number one is get it over the water. Job number two is get it in a good shot to get up and down from. I really needed to miss that to the right somehow, and I'm trying to hit a big high fade, and it just kind of got away from me left a little bit.

Q. Do you have fond memories of Hoylake?

BRIAN HARMAN: Oh, yeah, lots of fond memories of Hoylake.

Q. "The Butcher of Hoylake."

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, yeah, you guys coined that nickname and thought it was going to make me upset, and after the tournament we threw a "Brian the Butcher" themed party that everyone -- I'll get you a Koozie.

Q. So you were pleased we did it?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yes, I am. Yeah, very pleased.

Q. Deer jerky for all the British guys?

BRIAN HARMAN: There you go, yeah. Yeah, wild venison for everyone. It's too bad you don't get to pick your menu at The Open Championship.

Q. What did you do well today, or what have you done well? Is it ball striking?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, I've hit the ball much better. It just hasn't quite been as sharp this year as I would like. Last couple of days I've finally started to hit some good iron shots.

I've been driving the ball a lot better. Been in position a lot. The first day I just mis-hit a couple irons that let led to bogeys instead of birdies. If I hit good shots, there's no telling how that round gets turned around, but got to hit the ball solid around here.

That's what's so interesting about this place. There's just no faking it. Very rarely do you get away with mis-hitting a shot.

Q. Will you do anything, practice at all, or are you just going to chill the rest of the day?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, I'll probably hit balls for 15 or 20 minutes, eat some lunch, practice, and then I keep missing right-to-lefters a little low on the green, so I'll go hit a few of those.

Q. The (indiscernible) win no one gets a crystal ball.

BRIAN HARMAN: I got two of them babies. They got a couple of eagles around here.

Q. Is that --

BRIAN HARMAN: It's a nice little tradition they have. I don't suppose a 67 is going to end up being the low round today, if I had to guess.

Q. Four Georgia guys in the last two days. A little pride if you are catching a couple of those guys?

BRIAN HARMAN: They're all friends of mine. I'm trying to beat everybody. Not just the guys from Georgia.
