Quick Quotes
Q. Just kind of give me your thoughts after round two today.
RUSSELL HENLEY: I did a lot of good things. Made a lot of mistakes on the back. Had some birdies too. So frustrating way to finish, but you know, just one too many mistakes. So just going to try to clean it up tomorrow.
Q. Yeah, getting the opportunity to play this weekend, what are your thoughts on making the cut this time around?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Yeah, I'm excited to play. Any time you make the cut here, you're doing something right. Yeah, you know, halfway done, so hopefully I can get on a run this weekend.
Q. What are your emotions knowing central Georgia is rooting for you here going into the weekend?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Yeah, it's cool. A lot of familiar faces this week and brings back childhood memories being able to come watch the tournament. Now to get to play is unbelievable.
Q. A couple of things you said you want to clean up going into round three. What are the lessons you learned here in round two?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Oh, I don't know. I got to go figure that out (laughing).
Q. As you move into the weekend, what is going to be, I guess, your mindset? How do you think your game is going to develop going into this Masters?
RUSSELL HENLEY: This year has been a little sloppier than the last couple with my iron play. You know, I feel like everything is in a good spot. I just got to execute. Just got to make some good decisions. I think I'm close.
Q. Lastly, earlier this week you said your mental game was doing really well. What are you kind of telling yourself now going into round three?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Just trying to stay positive. Finishing with two bogeys today is very frustrating. Just trying to stay positive. I know my game is there. I've got to keep believing in it.
Q. Not a lot of people get to experience this, especially at the level that you guys are at. How would you explain the ups and downs of the Masters? You said you did well today and then you had some mistakes. How is it kind of mentally going through that?
RUSSELL HENLEY: It's tough. I think you're always trying to figure out how to deal with it. You know, it means a lot to us, to say play here. We work really hard to be here and play at a high level. So, you know, just continuing to try to fight and believe is kind of what you have to do.
