Q. How good did those birdies on 15 and 16 feel after a tough stretch?

BRANDON HOLTZ: I mean, it felt pretty good to get off the bogey train, to be sure. April is early for an Illinois guy. You know, I did all I could to prepare, but you got to be pretty precise around here. It just shows me that I got a lot of work to do.

Q. How tough was that shot from behind 15? Had you gone there during the practice rounds?

BRANDON HOLTZ: No, I was not back there practicing. That shot was tough. It was nerve-wracking. I mean, you're basically looking at the green, and it's all chasing away from you, and you got the water back there. It was just one of those shots where you just take it back and hit it.

Q. How hard is it to stop, get off the bogey train when things start going south, especially at a place like this?

BRANDON HOLTZ: It's pretty hard. Like I said, you've got to be pretty precise around here. There's no really holes off. There's no shots off, and you just have got to execute.

Q. Looking forward a little bit, you're going to be defending your title at The Lido. Have you gone up there and played yet in Wisconsin?

BRANDON HOLTZ: No, I'll probably try to get up there this summer. I have a buddy who is kind of from around that area, so hopefully get up there maybe once or twice and check it out.

Q. What have you heard about it? Anything?

BRANDON HOLTZ: It's kind of I guess the owners or the builders are like the Bandon Dunes, so it's open rolling hills and all that. I don't know much about it other than that.

Q. Have you played much golf in Wisconsin?

BRANDON HOLTZ: Not a lot. I've been up there a couple of times, but not a whole lot.

Q. How do you sum up the week?

BRANDON HOLTZ: Just incredible. I mean, yeah, incredible.

Q. Beyond -- not beyond your wildest dreams because you got here, but pretty close.

BRANDON HOLTZ: Pretty close to it. Getting here was the biggest dream, and then yeah, just being here. I mean, wish I could have played a little bit better, but hey, I'd take it next year too. Hopefully can play well this year and see what happens.
