MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 10, 2026

Fifa Laopakdee

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Just sum up the week. I'm sure there must be disappointment in you, but this is a great week to be part of even if it is still Friday.

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Oh, yeah, definitely. It's been a great week. You know, you don't really be frustrating or disappointing in a bad result. It's always -- it's a good time to have fun and enjoy and learn from the old guys, all the veterans like Freddy or Min Woo.

I try to soak everything in. It's a good week. Even though the score might not do a lot justice, but I think I hit pretty good out there. See how I finished today with three birdies in a row. When I get comfortable out there I play pretty good.

That shows that I could play out here, I belong out here. I know, I can't wait to come back here and play this event again.

Q. Talk to us about those three birdies in a row, 13, 14, 15. What did you hit over there and how was the feeling -- how was the rush to get those three birdies in front of somebody like Freddy and the fans?

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Yeah, I mean, like yesterday I also made birdie 13, 14, so I feel really comfortable on that stretch.

Like 13 I hit mini driver off the tee today. Play a little conservative off the tee because I know on this pin I got to lay up anyway. I hit 4-iron, layup to where I wanted to like 80 yards. Hit pin high left and it was a really -- like a slider on this birdie putt but I managed to make it and build a lot of confidence.

Then 14 hit a really great drive, great second shot to six feet and made the putt.

And then 15 I hit a great drive again. And then with that pin it was 50/50 of laying up or going for it with how firm the green is and how -- I feel like that pin is not close to the water enough for me to play up.

So I feel like if I have an easier -- much better chance of making birdie if I hit it long. Decided to hit long and easy up and down from there.

Q. Tell me what do you think you've learned the most this week, and how is it going to help in your future?

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Oh, man, I could -- if you give me an hour I can write 100 bullet points what I learned this week. Oops yeah, play with Freddy and Min Woo, I learned a lot. You know, going to have to be far off the tee. If you watch Fred eat first 14 holes yesterday, it was a perfect golf.

Yeah, he kicked me and Min Woo's ass. Man, it was amazing to watch him play. At that age and being able to be at 2-under par through 14 yesterday in very tough condition just shows how class and classy he is. It's amazing.

Hitting a fairway here, it's -- it helps a lot. I didn't hit that much fairway yesterday. Didn't hit that much fairway if the front nine. Coming down the stretch on the last few holes I hit almost every fairway and shows how easier it is to hit the second shot, hit the green and just one or two putt, make par and move on.

I learned a lot.

Q. Can you sum up the experience of winning the Asia Pacific and the journey it took to get here and what a great pathway it provides? You're the representative of it this year, but what it provides to amateurs trying to play at these events.

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Yeah, it's amazing. I'm super grateful to have those opportunities on behalf of all the Asia Pacific players. It's great pathway and great tournament. It's a great tournament for all of us to show the world that there's greater players in Asia Pacific to play in this event.

You know, might be upcoming superstars. It's obviously like a once in a lifetime things. So, yeah, wildcat to thank all the Masters, R&A and everyone that provide those opportunities, and I can't wait to go defend my championship and come play here again next year.

Q. I know that you would like to be playing on the weekend. You still have privileges in the Crow's Nest. Mateo Pulcini thinks he might stay there Saturday night.

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: I haven't planned on that. Honestly, maybe. 50/50 right now. I'll see what's my plan for tomorrow and Sunday.

But, yeah, I would love to stay there one more night. Yeah, see what happens.

Q. Reentry back into college golf going to be bumping into Ethan Fang at the Big12 championship. Are you looking forward to sharing some memories and stories with him that really only he will be able to share with you there?

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Yeah, Ethan is a great player. I played with him a lot in college. He mostly kicked my ass.

Yeah, he's good. He always motivated me to be better. Like he doesn't hit far but he always hit incredible second shots and great putter and short game guy.

Yeah, he always motivate me to be better. Yeah, great to share memories with him.

Q. Getting back and playing college golf, the experience there is going to be a little bit different than playing in the Masters. Carrying your own bag. Are you kind of excited to get back or how do you look forward to the rest of the year?

FIFA LAOPAKDEE: Yeah, definitely. I'm very looking forward to play the postseason with the team. I love my team. I think we have a good team. We have good chance of winning Nationals, the Big12. Yeah got to go step by step.

Big12 coming up and I will be prepared as much as possible to be ready for the team and yeah, great for the postseason. It's going to be fun.
