MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 10, 2026

Min Woo Lee

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. What are the emotions right now?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, pretty disappointed. Making two birdies out here is pretty -- not going cut it. Didn't have my best at all. Didn't drive it well and didn't approach it as good as -- yeah, it was just pretty average.

Onto next week.

Q. What will you take away?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, the preparation was unbelievable. You would think I would be winning the tournament the way I was leading up to the event.

But it's not like I was nervous or anything. I just kept hitting the same shot which was weird. Yeah, it's a little disappointing, very disappointing, thought I had, yeah, great preparation and good momentum coming into this tournament.

Yeah, had a lot of support and had a lot of people supporting me to play well. Yeah, a little bummed that I couldn't get anything going.

Q. You came in even more confident than last year.

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah.

Q. Coming off that PGA TOUR breakthrough.

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah.

Q. What have been Augusta do you think specifically you can learn that you need to do better?

MIN WOO LEE: I mean, you just -- it's pretty straightforward: Just got hit it straight and hit the greens. Don't think I hit many greens or had -- felt like I had five birdie chances throughout 36 holes, which is not that good.

Didn't drive it good and you needed to that around here. Just give yourself chances and when I did have an iron in my hand it would not be the shot that I wanted so, yeah. Hopefully next year is better.

Q. Playing with 66 year old Freddy Couples.

MIN WOO LEE: Yep.

Q. See the way that he knows every nuance.

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, exactly. It just shows you just need to know the course a lot. I mean, yes, he had a few bad holes yesterday but he was 2-under going into 15 and it felt like he did it so easy.

He putted well and he just didn't make a mistake and hit it right in front of him.

So, yeah, it's one of those courses. You got to be accurate. I think that's the biggest takeaway.

You hit it in the wrong spot and it just cost you so much. You don't need to attack the course too much. Just plot along and give yourself chances.
