THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. Well played. Just curious, first of all, over the course of your career, I think it's obvious that you have become better and better at finding a way through tough situations, just figuring a way to win. Why do you think that's the case? How have you become better at that?
JANNIK SINNER: Look, I think it starts also, you know, from practice, in a way, trying to finish practice sessions in a good way when you're tired or you don't feel well. And obviously playing matches in certain situations, also, over and over again, in official matches, helps you.
Yeah, today was not easy. You know, I found myself in a not easy position. But look, I'm happy, you know, to fight through. Today that was the most important part, and trying to put myself in a position where I can still find a way to win, you know.
So I'm happy about that. In my mind, you know, of course I need to play better in certain situations from tomorrow on, but look, in my mind, I also know that every day is different, depending on how it feels. So let's see.
Q. You told us already that it's very special to play here in Monaco for you. Could you maybe describe what is so special about that? And is there maybe a link that Italy is as close and maybe could the tifosi in Bordighera hope to see you there, maybe on Saturday? I heard they hope for it on Saturday. And I heard there is maybe a plan to do that, and maybe you could describe that.
JANNIK SINNER: Tomorrow is Friday, no?
Q. Saturday.
JANNIK SINNER: Why Saturday? What means?
Q. (Off microphone.)
JANNIK SINNER: Playing here, you know, I can sleep in my own bed. I think it's good. I know the places where it's good to eat, and I know the city quite well, being here already since years and years.
So it's also nice to see, you know, the site here transforming in a completely different place for this tournament, because a lot of players who play here, they know how it is without a tournament, and there are no people at all. Seeing great support for everyone, it's nice. So, yeah, that's makes it very special.
Q. (Off mic.)
JANNIK SINNER: Yeah, yeah, Italian fans, they're obviously very close. It's nice that I have and all the Italians have great support.
