MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 9, 2026

Brian Campbell

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Talk to me about good start.

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Yeah, great start. Birdied the first three holes and got rolling. Then it got a little -- started to burnout a little bit and you get above the hole and you can't really be aggressive.

So I feel like I was just playing defense a lot the rest of the round. But if we can get some more uphill looks I think we can be more aggressive.

Q. It's only your second time here. Birdied the first three holes like you mentioned. How do you feel coming out of that third hole birdieing the first three holes at the Masters?

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Yeah, had a three-footer up-the-hill look on one, so, made things easy. Then two recovered very nicely. I feel like I'm comfortable with the angles on that hole. And then three is kind of if you birdie it, get out of town because it's like it can be dicey there.

It's a fun hole to play.

Q. How do you I guess keep a stable mentality? A lot of people can get over their head if they start hot or also the other way around, might think a downslope is coming.

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Yeah, I think just being ready for anything, ready for more birdies or ready for something you don't expect.

Being ready for it all I think even when the worse stuff happens, you're kind of like, okay, we can keep moving.

Q. Talk to me a little bit about 18 over there. You were in the patrons but had a great save to end it. Talk about your mindset for every shot in that last hole.

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Yeah, found myself with a lot of tough lies kind of around the chipping, putting areas. I putted a lot today and felt really good on my speed so I just told myself, trust my speed here.

I think it was the right call.

Q. You live in the low country. Talk about how nice it is to be around home.

BRIAN CAMPBELL: I moved to Jacksonville but I love being in the south. It's close to home. I have my family out here. It's a lot of fun.

Q. When did that move happen?

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Recently. Only been there for not even a year, so this offseason.

Q. What is your mindset going into the next round?

BRIAN CAMPBELL: Super early tee time tomorrow. It's going to be dewy and cold, so the shot shapes and everything might change a little bit, but keep hitting fairways and greens if you can.
