MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 8, 2026

Bryson DeChambeau

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Your caddie calls you a rock star; what do you call your caddie?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: The best in the world. He just pumps me up. I don't know. I mean, I don't know why he calls me a rock star. He's the superstar.

Q. What kind of advice was he giving you today?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: A lot of wind advice out there. He was reading the greens a little bit. It was fun to get out there and have him experience what golf at this highest level is.

And he was telling me as we were walking down some of the fairways, he was like I didn't realize it was like this all the people looking down on you, seeing every little detail of what you're doing, and then just how technical you guys are, how strategic you are, how thoughtful you guys are, and how much control you have with your golf ball. He was mesmerized by it.

So it's really cool to see somebody that's that big of a superstar getting into the game of golf. He's done it for the past seven months now. He's just gotten into the game seven months ago and for him to finally see what it is like at this high level is really cool because he's like I have so much respect for you guys. And it's cool to see that.

He's a superstar in his own right and a movie star and comedian and business entrepreneur, like everything he's done is so impeccable and impressive.

To be able to collaborate with golf and see how good the game of golf is for the world, it's cool to mesh two worlds.

Q. Did he give you any tips?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I just told him to close his eyes on the ninth hole and hit his swing as hard as he could.

Q. What was the best shot here?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Probably the putt on the last hole. He almost made it. But then he hit a four-footer and lipped it out. That was funny. I am sure that will be over socials. I almost made a hole in one on three.

That would have been amazing. I probably would have jumped in the lake if that was the case.

Q. You just say the putt that he made was going to be on socials. I find that interesting, your mentioning social. No phones rule here. Do you like that?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah. I think it's great. No doubt, the history is so respected here, and albeit we have to have certain types of communication. We adhere to the rules as much as we can and we abide by them as much as we can.

I think the most important thing is respecting the tradition and the honor and integrity in this new modern social media world.

It's funny, I think Augusta is quite tech savvy to be honest everything what I've seen and what they've done with the place and what they have for the patrons on the range and people on TV, patrons watching on TV is really cool, all the graphics they have. So they're quite tech savvy, I must say but it's fun be and nice to go back where we're more focused on human interaction.

Q. Do you like having a crowd that's watching you through their eyes rather than through the cellphone?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I do find a bit of nostalgic having people watch through their eyes rather than through a phone. It is cool. There's more of this presence. I feel like there's a bigger buzz because of it.

Q. How do you see Kevin's future in golf?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I think he'll be a great ambassador for the sport, advocate for the sport, someone that I think has a new found respect and appreciation for how difficult it is at the highest level, and also just a great amount of fun that can be produced of for the game of golf and how it can bring people together.

He's the best at bringing people together, and I think having him a part of the sport is great for the game.

Q. How do you see your future in comedy or acting?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Zero. Zero. Thank you, guys.
