MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 8, 2026

Jacob Bridgeman

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Jacob, I think you were telling a story you were at one of those autograph seeking 10 years old back in the day. What do you remember from that Masters experience being a little guy asking for the autographs?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: I remember getting a flag and trying to fill it up and I had stuff the whole day and trying to remember who the autographs were. And I would look at it every year when I would watch Masters on TV. I'd pull out my flag when I was little and find the few autographs that I could read. It was a special day. That was the first time ever being on property and I was here with my dad.

Q. What do you think about now that it's come full circle around, you're giving the autographs first time being here as a competitor?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah, it's cool. I still remember those days when I was little. So it's cool to sign some autographs for some kids asking how they're doing, having fun. I know the kids appreciate some interaction. They're having a blast.

Q. How do you switch this mentality from wow, first Masters giving out autographs to competitive mode coming up?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah I think I'll flip the switch pretty easy. Even in the practice round days, it feels like a normal practice round just at a special course. I think I'll be able to get in competitive mode come tomorrow.

Q. Do you have any relationship being fellow upstate legends with Andrew Novak, Wofford College. What is that like for two Upstate guys to come here at the same time, first year?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Andrew is a great guy. He went to Wofford which is about 15 minutes from where I grew up. He's a little older than me, but I remember playing at his country club because he was the big guy at Wofford.

Yeah, he's a great dude. I've got to know him pretty well as I've been a pro. We have the same agent. He's a great dude.

Q. What has this year been like for you so far, incredible success so far and looking at keeping going?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah. It's been a dream come true. I wanted to win. I kind of knew I would always win but to win in the fashion I did was pretty amazing and a dream come true.

Q. The fans obviously are excited about the Masters starting tomorrow. How would you summarize your emotions? Is it hard to manage them?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: No, I don't think so. I think just every night when I've gone home, I've kind of been bummed that the day was over and I had to leave the course and stop practicing, but come Thursday I think I'll be ready. I'm ready to compete a little bit. The practice has been a lot of fun. This is one of the coolest things I've ever done. Getting to walk around see all the kids and have my wife caddie is special.

Q. How was your preparation been? How optimistic do you feel going into tomorrow?

JACOB BRIDGEMAN: Yeah. I feel great. I've hit the ball well. I feel like I've tried to focus the most around the greens, figure out the green complexes and figure out how to putt around this place because that's kind of my needle mover.
