MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 8, 2026

Aldrich Potgieter

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. This is your second Masters. How different is this experience from your first timeout here?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: I mean, it's been great. I mean, I think the prep for this week has been a lot different. Got a lot bigger team with me this week. I have coaches, stats guys, physios. So it's been a big week on that side just with everything going on, not just on the golf course practicing.

But it's been good. Trying to take it all in and still enjoy it.

Q. Have you been able to glean any advice from Mr. Player?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: I mean, he's got so much knowledge and built up I think in his memory but we're trying to have some fun on this Par-3. Not to bug him too much. He's real positive with me and Casey this week. Our game has been really good.

So I think he's just trying to cheer us up and get us in a good mood for this week.

Q. Shooting below the radar in the majors for the last few years. Do you think we can change it this week?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: Yeah. That would be nice. I will definitely take that. There's a couple of good guys coming in in the last two years, so I think be it'll definitely get picked up and hopefully one of those guys can join the big trophy.

Q. How confident are you?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: Yeah. I feel good. Can't really say too much until you step on the tee Thursday morning. I think my game has gotten a lot better since I've been here in '23, I definitely feel more complete, as a complete golfer. A little more professional. We're looking forward to it and we'll see what happens.

Q. When you step on the tee tomorrow, do you think the feeling will be very different from the first time?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: No. I don't think that feeling goes away. I think I'll be able to embrace it a little bit easier than first time. We'll still feel the nerves but when you walk up that tee and you go with down the hill and get back up on the fairway, you get locked in. So it will be good.

Q. Do you talk to each other a lot or do you see this more competitive today?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: No. This is having fun. I had my cousin out here caddying for me so that was a lot of fun. Me and Casey are friends and it was nice to get paired with him and to have Mr. Player with us was awesome.

Q. Do you have any players rooting for you this week?

ALDRICH POTGIETER: I haven't really opened my phone too much this week. But I played with Charl the last two days. He was great. He's always keen to help and with knowledge on the golf course as well. So it's nice to have that as well.
