Quick Quotes
Q. I want you to think back to your first Masters. What would you say was your welcome-to-the-Masters moment, whether it was a shot that you hit into the water on the practice round, anything like that that said, hey, this is the Masters, this is different?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: That's a good question. So my first Masters was the COVID Masters so it was a little different. We were playing in the fall. But I believe in that tournament I played with Phil and Tiger back to back days and I felt like I learned a lot by watching both those guys play the course and compete in the tournament, and I felt like I learned a lot in these days. That was I guess my welcome-to-the-Masters type moment.
Q. So much success here in just a short amount of time, being here at the Masters. How important is a day like this today for you to be able to just kind of let loose and relax before you get started?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It's really nice. I think major championships can be stressful as you prepare for them, and having an afternoon like this where you can come out and relax and have some fun with my family is really nice.
Q. You were the topic of conversation yesterday between Ben Crenshaw and Carl Jackson. Not that you need advice, but did they even talk to you yesterday and maybe pass on some?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I saw Ben last night, but I haven't seen Carl yet this week. I usually talk with them each year, and they always have some good nibblets for me.
Q. What was your best part of the dinner?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Best part of the dinner? I mean, the sticky toffee pudding was really good. I was kind of bummed. I was sitting in the locker room talking to Mr. Coody, and I didn't get a chance to go outside and have any of the appetizers, which I was kind of bummed about. But overall the meal was great.
Q. Fans, everyone is excited about the Masters teeing off tomorrow. Do you have that same excitement, and if so, how do you manage it?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I'm excited for this week and excited to get the week going. The golf course looks like it's going to get pretty firm and fast, so it should be an exciting tournament.
Yeah, I feel like my prep work is mostly done and just get out there and start competing tomorrow.
Q. You always say that you want to be prepared. Where are you right now in your preparation?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Feeling pretty prepared.
