Quick Quotes
Q. No question the greatest story in sports right now is our great friend, Gary Woodland, a winner again on the PGA TOUR. Let's just start with everything that you've been through. With everything that you've been through in the last three years, how much more special is a day like this here at Augusta National at the par-3 when you can walk these grounds with your beautiful children and your beautiful wife?
GARY WOODLAND: This is what the fight is for today, right now. Yeah, it's hard. The fight is real, every day. But this is it right here. To share this moment with my kids is everything.
Q. It's always emotional to be here at Augusta National, no matter who you are, whether you're a patron, whether you're a champion. But for you I would imagine this year is even more so. True?
GARY WOODLAND: There's no doubt, because obviously missing last year, sitting at home, seeing the par-3, seeing other kids run around, I want my kids to learn to fight, and I'm trying to show them that every day. And today is not about fighting. Today is a reward, and we're going to enjoy this day.
Q. We're grateful for the fight and the example, Gary. Thank you. Let's talk a little more fun here. You know what it's like to ace one out here. Justin Thomas just aced 2.
GARY WOODLAND: Did he?
Q. Yes, he did. What is that like for you guys?
GARY WOODLAND: It's special. Obviously there's some slopes in there you can kind of work it off. I'll tell you what, though. I've made some hole-in-ones before. My son made a putt on 9 two years ago, our last time here. That was better than the hole-in-one. This is a special day for the families.
I'm going to hear about J.T.'s hole-in-one, I think, so hopefully I can even him out today and make one myself.
Q. Again we appreciate you so much. Thank you for the example. We appreciate it. And have a blast with them today, my friend. Good luck this week.
