MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 7, 2026

Brian Harman

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Maybe how you're feeling, you know, headed into your eighth Masters career start?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, feeling pretty good. Okay week last week. Good PLAYERS Championship. Swing feels all right. Just been working hard. Just waiting for it all to round into form.

Q. I notice yesterday you didn't play any holes. Just did Drive, Chip & Putt. Was that because you're coming off the Valero?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, got in real late. Probably didn't get to bed until almost 1:00 am Sunday night. Just trying to catch up on some rest. It's a long week.

Q. What do you think has been working best? Seemed like the past few tournaments, first two days you're really coming out of the gate strong.

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, the game has been there. Just hadn't really been shooting a lot of low scores. Just trying to free it up, and, yeah, just play golf the way I know I can.

You know, you can't control your success, but, gosh, you just got work hard and hope that it kind of peaks at the right time.

Q. Anything specific for this tournament that you really try to hone in on?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, around the greens here knowing where to miss it. Course ends up always being a lot harder than you think, so those par saves become really important.

Q. I think I remember maybe last year you had a really crucial save on 16 maybe. Like just, yeah, how crucial is it to make sure that your short game is...

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, well, even more than that it's missing it in the right spots. You got to know where to miss to some of those pins. Just got to be really disciplined. This place really punished you if it you get out of position and that's the hard part.

You know, it's a big course. It's pretty wide open. The tee shots aren't particularly challenging. There is a lot of space and so you end up playing some undisciplined golf. Just baits you into not really staying focused.

Q. I know it's all about work at this point, but is there still butterflies or this is still very exciting to be part of?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah look at this place, man, it's beautiful. The crowning achievements of mankind. Look at this place. It's incredible. It's hard not to sit around and look at this place with some awe. It's beautiful.

But at the same time we're here to work, trying to win the Masters, man.

Q. How would you describe Amen Corner, not only as a challenge to execute and shoot a low score, but just the mystique of it?

BRIAN HARMAN: You know, yeah, it's cool back there, but the thing that you guys don't get to really experience is it's really quiet back there. The fans can only get right there behind 12 tee box so even like 12 and 13, you don't hear much.

So it's a pretty cool little spot back there.

Q. When you're on 13 tee box, no patrons, no cameras.

BRIAN HARMAN: Plenty of cameras. They got them hidden in the trees and everything over there.

Yeah, it's a cool spot back there.

Q. Does that give you a point in the round where you sort of can collect your thoughts or is it all gas, no brakes?

BRIAN HARMAN: I try to treat them all about the same. We train all year for situations like that. You just can't make any of them more important than the others.

Q. When there is a wind like this that you're experiencing today, how much more challenging does it make those holes in particular?

BRIAN HARMAN: I didn't play the back nine today. Northeast would be in out of the right on 13. You get some help on 11.

I mean, this is hill country. The wind this time of year in the spring just blows. Kind of blows and hits these hills and goes all over the place. Probably the toughest part about it place is I don't think it gets enough credit for how much the wind blows around here.

Q. This is not your first Masters. Can you talk about the pride, especially as a Georgian and playing here year after year?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, I grew up wanting to win this golf tournament growing up in Savannah. It's the biggest golf tournament in the state of Georgia, in the United States, so it's, yeah, it's a big deal.

I'm super proud to be here. First year my family, young kids have come out and watched me play a few holes in the practice round which is really neat.

Haven't really exposed them to the whole lifestyle yet, so it was nice to see them out there today. Yeah, I don't think too much about it. I just try to do my job and do the best I can.

Q. What's one thing about playing on the course that you wouldn't expect watching on TV?

BRIAN HARMAN: How hilly it is. You can see the hills on TV but until you walk the grounds you have no idea how undulated it is.

Q. What has Scott meant to you?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, he's my man. We been together, this is our 13th season together. Longest tenured couple on TOUR. Been through a lot of up and downs. He's always right there and super reliable. We have lost some big ones and won some called can you war with.

Q. You keep him around even though he went to Georgia Southern and you went to Georgia?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, yeah, Georgia Southern has got a soft spot. That's where all my buddies went.

Q. With his history with like his -- brother?

BRIAN HARMAN: Older brother, Bob, yeah. Of course.

Q. How much does that help you, that golf experience?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, he's been around the game for a long time, him and Bob. They've seen a lot. Yeah, having that experience to rely on, I've been out here 15 years now, so we're just like the old couple now it seems like.

Q. You mentioned this is your kids' first time coming. Do you think they understand the significance of this course and tournament?

BRIAN HARMAN: I don't think -- no. Short answer, no. I think they're super stoked to be out, but, yeah, I've kind of guarded them from that. I just like being dad. I don't like being Brian Harman when I'm around them.

Q. Have you played the Georgia Southern course lately?

BRIAN HARMAN: Not lately. Forest Heights?

Q. The university course.

BRIAN HARMAN: No, I haven't played that.

Q. They did some work with?

BRIAN HARMAN: The Georgia southern university course? What's it called?

Q. The Georgia Souther University Golf Course.

BRIAN HARMAN: I only played Forest Heights.

Q. Four, five years ago?

BRIAN HARMAN: Yeah, played Forest Heights in the Schenkel tournament.

Q. What do you know about this course you didn't know in the first year you were playing?

BRIAN HARMAN: Not much. I mean, played here the first time when I was 15 years old, and, yeah, I mean, I guess the scores are always a little higher than you think they're going to be.

You know, when you come out here and you play, you feel like you can go shoot low numbers, it's just not a lot of the low numbers out here. It's a lot more of a grind than people think.
