Quick Quotes
Q. Just wanted to quickly talk about Latin American Amateur Championship, just how valuable that was to your maturation as a golfer and how much pride do you get to see when the Latin champions come through every year?
CARLOS ORTIZ: It's awesome to me. My brother won it when I was an amateur, I did not have it. I wish I could have had the opportunity because maybe I could have been here before turning pro. I think it's a great opportunity. I think it's an awesome way to grow the game of golf.
Q. First impressions coming back to Augusta, how do you feel?
CARLOS ORTIZ: I mean, it's impressive. That's the only impression. It doesn't get much better than this. Everything, the way they do everything here, the way the golf course is, and the weather, too. It's a treat being here.
Q. Talking about your golf, what things are working? I heard you were working on the heights, the distance, the drives. What are the other main things?
CARLOS ORTIZ: I think everything is kind of working. Obviously golf is always a work in progress, but I think the game is pretty solid. It's been good for a while now. So just keep working on it.
Q. If you can talk about memories a bit here, some shots that you remember and then when you're going to play now.
CARLOS ORTIZ: Yeah, I mean, honestly, I'm not a guy that holds a lot of memories about golf. I almost remember more about coming here with my brother than when I played.
Obviously there's a lot of cool stuff, but I've never been one to remember every shot.
There's people that can remember every shot of their career. I don't remember the shots from last week.
But I just have good memories. I mean, this place is awesome. Being here is a treat.
Q. You mentioned your brother. Who is going to be here this week?
CARLOS ORTIZ: My family and my parents, brother. Wife. My daughter is not coming this week, but maybe next year.
