Quick Quotes
Q. So you've been around here a couple times now. What have you learned about playing Amen Corner wither strategically or your approach to it?
SAM BURNS: Yeah, I think it's obviously a difficult stretch. You know, I think the main thing is just trusting the wind. A lot of times it can swirl around and you can get confused, so really just trusting that and trying to execute.
I think it tries to make you uncomfortable, and so the most important thing is trying to execute and accept whatever outcome you get.
Q. So do players look at it the way we look at it, like the group of holes down there? Do you look at it as a group of holes that you're trying to put a number on or just individual?
SAM BURNS: Not really. I think kind of individual holes. I think you know that even par through there is usually a pretty good score so I think you take it hole by hole and just take what it gives you.
Q. So 13 is kind of unique, 12 green, 13 tee. Away from the patrons, away from the cameras, away from the buzz.
SAM BURNS: Uh-huh.
Q. Is that a place where you collect your thoughts, take a deep breath for the rest of the round? What makes that unique?
SAM BURNS: Sure, a lot of times on 12 you hole a putt or something and no one even has a clue, which was so different than all other the other holes where people are.
I think, yeah, that walk back to 13 tee is a nice reset and quiet and peaceful back there. Yeah, I think it's a good place to reset if you need it.
