Quick Quotes
Q. Chloe, first one, no?
CHLOE KOVELESKY: Yes.
Q. Tell us about your impressions of the golf course.
CHLOE KOVELESKY: It's really awesome. Honestly being out here, walking out here is really cool, but playing is an incredible opportunity for us. I had a lot of fun out there. I had a great group out there today. It was just a really enjoyable round.
Q. This is not the first time for Wake Forest. Wake Forest has been here since the beginning. What do you learn from the others that have played here before?
CHLOE KOVELESKY: Fortunately, Ryan's caddied for a couple players, and he's on my bag this week. I was able to have a little bit of insight of direction where to go, where not to miss, things like that. So that's really nice.
Hopefully I can keep up with what our previous Dekes have done this week.
Q. When you knew you were going to play this event, did you expect to be in contention on Saturday?
CHLOE KOVELESKY: Honestly I just wanted to give myself a chance and hopefully make a run up for it tomorrow. Coming into the week, I just wanted to give myself an opportunity. Enjoy the moment, but give myself an opportunity at the end of the day.
Q. Were there any particular pieces of advice that Ryan gave you today?
CHLOE KOVELESKY: Honestly just everywhere. Kind of off the tee, there's a lot of blind tee shots where you can't really see or you're looking into the distance and you don't see where your landing area is.
Kind of just off the tee was really helpful and just kind of figuring out lines, and hit a lot of drivers, which is really nice. I actually think I hit all drivers. That's really cool. I think just lines were really helpful.
Q. And how about the greens?
CHLOE KOVELESKY: Yeah, greens are tough. Definitely need to figure out where not to miss and things like that. Yeah, he's really helpful at all around to be honest. It's really nice.
