AUGUSTA NATIONAL WOMEN'S AMATEUR

April 3, 2026

Catherine Park

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. How was your practice round out there?

CATHERINE PARK: It was amazing. Made some birdie putts, which feels pretty good for tomorrow. I mean, the course is in amazing condition. They're running pretty pure, and I'm excited to play.

Q. I wanted to ask you about having Justin caddie for you the first two rounds.

CATHERINE PARK: I love it. I mean, he's caddied for me the last two years for Augusta, and I always had a house caddie for the final Augusta round, but I think him on the bag gives me more confidence because he knows my game the best.

I mean, he walked with me almost my entire second semester of my freshman year and almost the second half of my sophomore year, and I think he knows my game more than anyone. I'm pretty confident when he's on the bag with me that we're going to get some pretty good numbers and pretty good putts.

Q. There's not added pressure of having your coach right there? Well, this is an individual event.

CATHERINE PARK: I don't really think so. It boosts my confidence more. I mean, he's on the bag with me, and who else should caddie for me if he knows my game the best? I'm just really happy when he's on the bag.

Q. He has a lot of experience in this tournament with Bailey and Jenny Bae?

CATHERINE PARK: Yeah, he caddied for Amari Avery.

Q. And Bailey I think?

CATHERINE PARK: I think Gabby Ruffels. He knows the golf course a lot. He's caddied for them, of course, and I think going off of their numbers and they were also long hitters, which is to my advantage because I'm also similar to them, like, he knows the lies the best and where I should leave the ball from certain pins.

Q. Being lower down among those who made the cut, can you can you be a little more aggressive tomorrow?

CATHERINE PARK: For sure. What's got to lose (laughing)? Yeah, you know, it's all pin hunting, back of the cup. Hopefully I need to have good speed. That's what my coach told me, but I think I'm in the hunt, and that's a good mentality. I'm chasing, and I think I like that mentality going into tomorrow.
