Quick Quotes
Q. Talk about how you think the second round went today.
EILA GALITSKY: Definitely, again, did not play my best. Still struggling with my tee shots, but luckily the last four-hole stretch I had some lucky putts and then some good approaches on the par three and, sadly, missed a ten-footer on the last to really guarantee my spot, but we'll see.
Q. I was going to ask, you had three birdies on the last four holes. How does it feel to get in the zone kind of at the end? I know we don't know the cut line yet, but does it give you confidence going into the cut line?
EILA GALITSKY: It's going to be tight. I don't know. I'm saying, like, maybe there's a 10% chance. I don't think there's a huge chance just because all these players are so good.
But, yeah, I did not like putting that pressure on myself to having to do that on the last four holes, but you know, I felt like I did step up to the occasion, and I'm just really hoping I get to play on Saturday.
Q. You've been here several other times before, so how so far has this experience ranked compared to your other endeavors here?
EILA GALITSKY: It was definitely the most tough. It was the most -- I would say the most uncomfortable I've ever felt on a golf course, which is not great. I'm hoping to -- you know, it's just all mental at this point. There's nothing wrong with my swing, which is even more frustrating, because if there was something wrong with my swing, I could easily fix that. Now it's just really having to believe in myself and just really hoping really.
Q. What's kind of your mindset now? Are you kind of going to keep checking scores or lay low and let it work out itself? What do you do in a situation like this?
EILA GALITSKY: I think I'm just going to go have some food, talk to my family. I'm going to avoid practicing just because I need to step away from golf right now. It's been a tough two days, yeah.
Q. What can you say about yesterday? Obviously a challenging front, a very adventurous kind of round. What can you say about hanging in there and what you were able to do on your back nine yesterday?
EILA GALITSKY: I would say it was the best 2 over I've ever shot in my life. There was a lot of up and downs, but you know, somehow I've managed to finally know how to play golf the last couple of holes on both rounds, so yeah.
Q. What's your mindset for tomorrow being able to play Augusta and a practice round there again?
EILA GALITSKY: It's great. Obviously depends if I'm actually having a practice round or just having a fun round, but if it's a practice round, I'm definitely going to get my notes right and stuff, but if it's a fun round, I'm just going to go out there, have fun, and enjoy being at Augusta National.
