Q. Very kind to wait around after a round of 69. Solid opening round on a difficult golf course. Tell us the keys to playing well out here today?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, Shadow Creek is always a really tough test of golf. I feel like all aspects of my game were really good today, really consistent. Hit a lot fairways and tried to hit as many greens as possible. The putter was working really well. I think I only had 26 putts today. Rolled the rock well and hopefully can keep that going the rest of the week.

Q. Yeah, we saw you hit some really good putts out there in our coverage. You packed a good run in the match play in the past. This is stroke play this week obviously. How is the golf course different between match play and stroke play?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I think I was talking to a few of the players at the beginning of the week, and it's just such a tough golf course. It's a great match play golf course but it feels almost like a major championship playing stroke play. Just how difficult and firm and fast it is.

They did soften it up a little bit I think compared to recent years, but it's still really tough. So I just think we to go out there with a mindset of just staying super patient and knowing that par is a really good score practice. Some girls were like, yeah, I won this hole with bogey last year. So just trying to minimize those mistakes.
