Quick Quotes
Q. It was a lot of fun being out there with you guys today. How fun is it being reunited on the golf course again?
NELLY KORDA: It was fun. She actually looked at me on 18 when she flipped the club around and I was just like shaking my head. Internally I'm like, what are you doing? We made eye contact and both started laughing.
But it was a lot of fun honestly.
JESSICA KORDA: Yeah, no, it was great. I'm super rusty obviously but I had such a fun time. Her and Charley are just such great players. I've been on the commentating side and the spectating side, and being inside is so much fun.
Q. We talked a little bit earlier about you two traveling together. Do you ever have any arguments about where you're going to eat and what you're going to do?
NELLY KORDA: No, we're so indecisive. I kind of hope someone always makes a decision for us.
JESSICA KORDA: Yeah, I mean, mostly we make sure that Greyson is eating and then we kind of go around that.
Q. So what's his favorite place to stop for food?
JESSICA KORDA: He really likes Greek food, pasta, pizza. What kid doesn't, right? We are very lucky he's not a picky eater. He'll eat just about anything.
Q. Does Auntie Nelly look after him a lot?
NELLY KORDA: I live on the other side but whenever we do get together I love Greyson time. He loves my fiance Casey, like literally so much. I'm like dude, what about me?
All he says is Casey, Casey, Casey.
JESSICA KORDA: On 18 we were walking to the green and all you hear a Greyson saying Casey, Casey, she's like, uh...
NELLY KORDA: What about me?
JESSICA KORDA: It's fun. She does. On Monday they took him. I basically just came out here and they dropped me off and I'm like, bye.
Q. Nelly, we know you've been playing great. Jess, just want to ask you, how has your journey back been since having Greyson?
JESSICA KORDA: Like I said I'm just super rusty. I've barely played, barely practiced. I think a huge one for me is that I'm hitting pain-free shots. It's not flat out here, so bending down to balls and hitting certain shots, it's a huge win for me.
I wasn't able to do that a year ago, so I'm very grateful that I'm able to play relatively pain-free golf. That's a really big step in the right direction.
Q. You had a lot of highlights from my perspective out there, but there one in particular on 17, that putt. Can you talk us through what happened with that putt?
JESSICA KORDA: It was just sitting super, super down and I -- of course it's the one putt I don't read at all; don't care what it does in front of the hole. I'm just trying to make sure it stays somewhere on the top shelf, just pop it up.
And, yeah, I couldn't even belly a wedge because I was sitting so far down. You know, that's just golf. The least expected birdie is the best one.
Q. No question. Good to have you back. You guys enjoy your dinner tonight. Thanks so much for your time.
NELLY KORDA: Thanks, Karen.
JESSICA KORDA: Thanks, Karen.
