Q. Raegan, did you see this round coming?

RAEGAN DENTON: Not really. I guess I didn't really go into the round with too many expectations, just sort of trying to do as well as I could.

Q. Didn't you win the Master of the Amateurs earlier this year?

RAEGAN DENTON: I did, yeah.

Q. Would you consider that your biggest win so far, and what did that do for your confidence?

RAEGAN DENTON: Definitely my biggest win so far. Definitely the strongest field I've played in in the harshest conditions, so that was definitely a big confidence boost to show that I can compete amongst some of the best in the world.

Q. What part of Australia are you from?

RAEGAN DENTON: I'm Adelaide, South Australia.

Q. What are your roots in the game? How did you get introduced to golf and where do you usually play?

RAEGAN DENTON: I usually play at Royal Adelaide, but I started in Coffin Bay, which is a small country town on the Eyre Peninsula. My brother and I, we were both very athletic kids. We didn't really have anywhere to play any other sports, but there's a local nine-hole golf course which had sand greens at the time, so we both picked it up and loved it, and then we ended up moving to Adelaide to sort of pursue golf as a career.

Q. What's it like being a member there? It's a pretty well-known club. They have a LIV event.

RAEGAN DENTON: It's awesome. I love the members so much. They're all so supportive. I get a lot of support from the committee and they have some junior funding, as well, which is super helpful. The practice facilities are just amazing, and I couldn't ask for a better situation to be in.

Q. Why did you decide to go to LSU and play college golf as well?

RAEGAN DENTON: College golf in Australia has definitely become more popular over the last couple years, and it was sort of a pathway that I'd always considered. When I visited LSU, I just sort of fell in love with the campus and the coaches and just sort of everything about it. I loved the feel that I got. It felt like this could be my new home for the next four years.

Q. What do you feel like you did really well today?

RAEGAN DENTON: I think I just kept really composed. I didn't put too many expectations on myself and didn't freak out if I had a poor shot or anything. Just sort of tried to focus on what was ahead, and I think I just kept my cool really well.

Q. Do you hit it pretty high, pretty far?

RAEGAN DENTON: I tend to hit it probably maybe a little bit high, but generally sort of a mid flight. In Australia, I guess I'm probably one of the longer hitters, which I guess helps that I'm being tall.

Q. You didn't make a bogey today. Is that something you normally do? Do you normally keep clean cards, or is it normally birdies and bogeys?

RAEGAN DENTON: My normal scorecards probably vary quite a lot, probably lots of birdies with a few bogeys, as well. I think this is my first bogey-free round in a tournament.

Q. Ever?

RAEGAN DENTON: Yeah. So this is a pretty cool time to do it, I'd say.

Q. What was the best shot you hit today?

RAEGAN DENTON: Probably my putt on 11. Going into that hole, I was very happy walk ago way with par, but I ended up walking away with birdie with sort of a 15-foot slider, so that was pretty good.

Q. 15-foot slider and you were afraid you were going to three-putt it?

RAEGAN DENTON: Not necessarily. I just think it's a challenging hole, and if you can have par there every day this week, I think you're pretty happy.
