FORD CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY WILD HORSE PASS

March 29, 2026

Nelly Korda

Chandler, Arizona, USA

Whirlwind Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Nelly after her final round here at the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass. Some great golf from both you and Hyo Joo this week. What were some of the highlights out there?

NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I mean, two eagles today. Made some solid putts, missed one or two that I wish I could get back, but that's just golf. Sometimes it's going your way, sometimes it's not.

I'm hoping to be trending in the right direction.

Q. You told me at the beginning of the week your attitude is probably the best part of your game right now. Is that still the case, and did that help you out there when things started to dip a little bit?

NELLY KORDA: Definitely, yeah. I would say it's still really good. There's times when I'm going to get frustrated. I'm a human being, so I'm going to get down and I'm going to get a little frustrated. But I'm trying to get over that as fast as possible. I'm just very grateful. If you'd have told me this time last year the finishes that I would have right now, I would be super happy with the game that is trending. Last year I just felt so weird with my game. Nothing was kind of going my way.

I'm really happy. I've put in a lot of work, and that's the best thing about golf is that you can always improve and you can have someone like Hyo Joo that's going to test you and push your buttons but in a really good way to improve.

Yeah, just excited with the way my game is going and I'm excited to keep improving.

Q. Tough track next week, but of course you've had great success there. What's the expectations? What are you looking forward to the most about teeing it back up there?

NELLY KORDA: Well, I've played it in match play. I haven't played it in stroke play. It's definitely going to be a different beast, stroke play. Tomorrow I'm just going to take a day off. I'm not even going to go look at the golf course. Then assess starting Tuesday and kind of pick a game plan and go from there.

Q. What if you had a couple more holes to play? You kind of ran out of real estate, didn't you?

NELLY KORDA: The game of golf is 72 holes, so that's just how it is. It's never been more; there's been a couple that have been less, but I'm happy with the way I've played. I just wish that maybe I could get a shot back here or there during those 72 holes.

Q. Finishing up, what about desert golf and this Ford Championship? Do you love the course? Do you love the desert? What about that?

NELLY KORDA: Yeah, the ball flies pretty far out here so you can be aggressive. But the greens were definitely a little bumpier this year than years prior, so a little harder on the putting greens.
