Q. All right, here with Dewi after the final round of the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass. 6-under 66 today. A lot of the birdies on that back nine. Can you walk us through the round today and the overall vibe of the week.
DEWI WEBER: Yeah, I mean, I played really good golf today. I still feel like I left some out there, but I did what I needed to do, which to me was having a really good process and just committing to the shots.
There were some pins out today that I think I was a bit more conservative to than the previous few days, and with good reason. Being conservative is not something that I love doing.
For me, sticking to my process and being like, no, we're going to execute this shot five yards left of the pin, five yards short of the pin, takes a bit of courage I guess or it's uncomfortable for me, so I was really happy with how I did that.
And, yeah, obviously like good rounds, but I played well.
Q. And then obviously some high temperatures this week. Did you notice a difference between the first round and the fourth round how the course was playing?
DEWI WEBER: I mean, it's firm and obviously it's really hot, but I think everyone just kind of expected that. It was the same last year. Not super high temperatures but still firm. Greens are slippery.
I think if the greens weren't this slippery this course would be even lower. I like it this way and that it's firm.
Yeah, I don't think I noticed that big of a difference between round one and four to be honest.
Q. You mentioned a little bit of low scores as well. Does what play into your thought process on the golf course, maybe be a little bit more aggressive when you maybe shouldn't be?
DEWI WEBER: No. I think if you're smart you kind of know that you play good enough golf so those chances will kind of come to you. Forcing something that doesn't need to be forced is kind of silly.
Which, again, like is something that doesn't really come naturally to me. When I see people shooting 10-under I want to go for every pin and I want to knock the ball in the back of the hole. That obviously isn't super smart all the time.
For me, yes, it's definitely a bit of an, okay, this putt is super downhill. You have to accept that you have to drip this in otherwise it's going five feet past.
For me personally that was a little bit like, come on, settle down now. I don't know if that's the same for the rest of the field.
Q. And then last one here: Couple cuts made now. Going to be a pretty high finish here. Currently inside the top 10. Talk about your overall game and just the comfortability out here.
DEWI WEBER: Yeah, my overall game feels really good. We did really good work this offseason which was nice because it was so long, so I felt like I actually got work done both technically and the way that I train.
So when I got out into the golf course my swing feels like it's in a really good spot. I don't think about many technical things. I just think about a tempo thing and that's really nice to have for probably the first time in a while.
And so I'm really comfortable how I'm playing right now. Yeah, again, there is a lot of potential.
