Q. Joined by Asterisk Talley after her second round at the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass. 7-under 65 today. A little bit of an up and down today: double, eagle, a lot of birdies. Can you just walk us through what was going on out there today?
ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah, I was looking forward to it today. Teeing off in the morning I knew the friends were going to be a little bit more receptive and a little more gettable.
I had some nice birdies in the beginning and then I had that double, which was a little tough. I tried to just keep it out of my mind.
After that it was just steady. Had some birdies and then had that eagle. It was a nice confidence booster going into the back nine there.
Q. And then after that double, hit every green from there on in.
ASTERISK TALLEY: Uh-huh.
Q. What do you have to do to mentally reset after that and just focus on, like a lot players say, hitting the next shot?
ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah, I think it's just knowing what I did wrong and just like I know that that wasn't what I was supposed to do. I mean, now I can know like what not to do from here on out and resetting. That was just a mistake. Now I can just focus up and have some good holes coming in.
Q. Big week this week and next week ANWA.
ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah.
Q. Talk about how your game is feeling heading into that and how excited you are to play at Augusta next week.
ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah, super excited. Always looking forward to ANWA every year.
I was feeling good coming into these two tournaments. I knew my game was in the right place coming in, especially after coming back from Sage Valley. I think that was just really nice to know that I had the game for these upcoming weeks and I'm super excited to come into these.
Q. Then got a special caddie on the bag next week with Miles.
ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah.
Q. Talk about how that came about. Is it something you talked about before or organically happen?
ASTERISK TALLEY: Not really. Me and Miles have been friends and I think my dad kind of brought it up. He was like, you what would be cool is like if Miles caddied for you at ANWA. He was like, like that would be great for him to learn the course before he plays in the Masters.
I was like, yeah, that would be pretty cool. Obviously he knows a lot about the game. Kind of just organically happened.
