Quick Quotes

Q. Very pleased to be joined by Jenny Bae after her first round of the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass. Jenny, kick it off real quick. Ace on hole six. Walk us through it. What club were you hitting? How far? Did you see it go in?

JENNY BAE: I don't really remember. It's all a blur. I think it was around 150 yards. I was trying to play 145. I hit a 9-iron and it came off the face really hot. The first thought I had was, oh, my God, it's going over.

But like ten seconds later two people are whooping up there and my caddie is screaming and I'm like, what is going on? He goes, you got it in. So, yeah, I didn't get to see it which kind of sucks. First hole-in-one on LPGA so I feel really good.

Q. First on the LPGA. How many do you have?

JENNY BAE: I have nine.

Q. And then this week, low scores but also pretty hot out there. How do you manage the heat and just try to stay focused on what's going on on the course?

JENNY BAE: I don't think the heat really affects me personally. I just feel like because I'm from Georgia. It could be really hot and really cold, so I'm relatively used to it.

But, again, I'm always thinking about the present shot, and it helps that I have a really good caddie that tells me to just focus on the present and just try to visualize every shot.

Q. Last one. With that hole-in-one, any plans to celebrate tonight, or is it just rest up and get ready for tomorrow?

JENNY BAE: If my tee time wasn't in the morning I might have, but sadly, no. Just going to be a normal go bed, so...
