THE MODERATOR: We're joined by Los Angeles GC. Three incredible shots between Justin's chip-in, Tommy, your performance on 14, and Sahith, it all came down to the 15th hole for you. It wasn't the best night but you got it done when it counted. Talk us through that hole.

SAHITH THEEGALA: Yeah, it was a tough night for me especially off the tee. I just felt like we didn't really have much momentum all day just because Rosey chips in, and the next hole I felt like I put a pretty good swing on it, but I hit it too straight and it went in that bunker and then we lost some momentum there.

But these guys had my back all night, and they've had my back the last two years, and I know they'll continue to have my back. It's just a great feeling knowing that they trust me. It was a decision to hit driver or less but honestly when it came down to the moment, I felt good about driver, and I don't know why I felt good about driver. But again, these guys trusted me and Carl trusted me, so just went ahead and tried to execute.

Kis got a little unlucky there on the last hole, but it was awesome to be able to put together two good shots there when the match was on the line.

Q. Tommy, on 14 what was the thought process from the team and then stepping up and making it happen?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Justin said the only thing we can't do is go 7-4 down playing the last. That was the start of the conversation.

JUSTIN ROSE: Hence we shouldn't accept the hammer. We should have declined it.

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Like I said to the guys, I was happy either way. I definitely left the decision making to everybody else. I was happy to hit the shot. I was happy not to hit the shot.

Whatever happened on that hole, the only thing I couldn't do was lose, obviously, but Sahith was going to play the last. Felt very good about him winning the last hole, and then when he made a decision for me to accept it and me to hit the shot, I was just happy to have the opportunity.

I felt very good about the shot. It was a beautiful number for me to be able to hit a good wedge.

I actually felt like as the match went on, I started to get better with my irons. I was definitely struggling early on just with my bearings a little bit. As the match was going on, I was getting a bit better and bit cleaner with them. So I felt good about it. It was a nice shot.

I do feel like I was -- as well as I played the hole, I messed up rehammering, which Sahith was talking about, and I'm confusing myself about it. But that's my bad. I felt like Sahith was in a good mindset there and he could have done a good job, so I feel poor about that. But also, again, I'm just happy to get the team and Sahith in a position to play the last where we just had full faith in him, and he played it like an absolute champion. He was awesome.

Q. Justin, your chip-in on 8 kind of stemmed the tide. You guys had missed two three-footers the two holes before. Did it feel like it got you the momentum back? You didn't want to fall two points behind going into 9. Did that kind of get you guys back on track with that?

JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, I think at that point it felt like things weren't really going our way or sort of good-looking shots were just covering the wrong distance and catching the edges of the greens rather than going close.

Obviously, yeah, the three-footers were matched from both teams, really, so we can look at that and go, yeah, that was frustrating. But at the same time, there were some tricky little tough-to-read gnarly slopes around the cup, but still, I don't think that was kind of any issue of execution, but it was definitely maybe some decision making.

But yeah, we compounded a few mistakes, and obviously Jupiter did feel like they had a little bit of momentum there. I don't think I'm chipping that ball going, I need to make this to stop the momentum or to get some momentum. It's just part of continuing to continue just to step through the process, keep executing as best you can and trusting each other that our run will come.

But yeah, it was timely for sure. But yeah, at that point there was still no panic, I wouldn't have said.

Q. Sahith, after such a tough night off the tee, you were pretty clutch there on that last one. Did you make any adjustments there or anything mentally that you told yourself before you stepped up?

SAHITH THEEGALA: Yeah, you know, I don't remember how many drivers I hit today. I think that might have been my fourth one. Yeah, I hit two pretty big slices there that were tough. But I actually put a good swing in the middle there that -- I have it set up kind of in that bunker on hole 9 and usually hit my 10-, 15-yard fade, and I think it curved a yard or two. I kind of thought of that swing on the last hole. I just go a little bit harder at it. It's nothing crazy, but just helps me release the ball a little bit, which maybe I should do more often on the real golf course, as well.

Just like I said, these guys trusted me, and that was a large part of why I felt so good about the last tee shot. They were in my ear a lot about just keep executing, we're in this match. We're still in a good position even coming down to the end. We have a chance to win; that's all we can really ask for. It was a lot of belief from the guys that helped me calm down over the shot and step up and hit that drive.

Q. Tommy, this is you guys' second win over Jupiter this season. What makes this matchup work in you guys' favor?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: I don't know what the score was in the first match, but I feel like we got away with one today.

They're a good team. They're a tough team. I feel like I want to give them a lot of credit for, like, the unit that they are. I was watching them when Kis was over that chip shot on the last, and I was sort of watching them before he hit it and I loved how much it meant to them and how they were as a team.

So again, I love the opportunity to play guys like that. It means so much to them. It means so much to us. It's great to go against them like that.

It was very close tonight. It could have gone either way. We could be stood here one game down very easily.

Yeah, we've had the better of them twice, but we have to focus on tomorrow really. I feel like we wake up tomorrow, we go through our preparation and we get ready to play another match, because like I said, the love the way that they play and how much it means to them.

Q. You mentioned that preparation for tomorrow; what's that look like for you guys starting -- Justin, did you bring the recovery trailer? Are you going to invite the boys in before the match?

JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, listen, I think some of us have had a lot of travel going on so I think tonight it's an important night just to try to shut it down and get some sleep.

I haven't even figured out what our practice schedule is tomorrow, so I guess before we leave here tonight, build a plan for tomorrow. Maybe we should all discuss if we think that rhythm -- it's a 7:00 game tomorrow, I believe, so yeah, just how we want to build the day. To answer your question, don't know exactly, but it starts with a good night's sleep, that's for sure.

Q. Obviously you have two cracks at it tomorrow to win the championship or would prefer to win it at 7:00 p.m. How will your approach using hammers and strategy differ knowing you can afford to lose but you don't technically want to?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: I know what we'll do. We'll play the match like it's just a regular match. I think we've been on a great run of wins. I remember stood here when we won -- I can't remember which game it was, and apparently we had the lowest likelihood of making the playoffs and we'd won maybe two games in a row or whatever it was. I think we've been on a great run, and I think we continue to win. I think we've won by playing great. I think we've won by playing poor, and I think we just prepare to play the match tomorrow and just play how we have done and go out there with the right intentions.
