THE MODERATOR: We'd like to welcome Jupiter Links here into the press conference.
Q. For Tiger, obviously it didn't go well for the team tonight. Close match. How did that feel from a competitive spirit watching your guys from the sideline in such a tight match where every shot mattered?
TIGER WOODS: I feel bad for them. As a team, we were together in this, all of us together, and it was close. We had our opportunities; they had their opportunities. We could have flipped in the middle of that back nine, and it came down to the last hole. We've been there before. We were in a playoff once, and this was damn near there.
Unfortunately, it didn't happen, but we have possibly two more matches. We're not out of this. Even with a loss we're still not out of it.
Q. Kis, I know that last hole for you out there was tough, but you hit some great shots tonight. Seemed like off the tee, performing well. Are you feeling good right now?
KEVIN KISNER: I feel pretty shitty to be honest with you after losing the last hole. Basically because of the distance in TGL, I'm behind the 8-ball quickly.
I thought I hit a perfect chip, didn't go in, and sucks to be on the end of -- a couple weeks ago we had the last hole to win the match for all of us, and now losing that just feels terrible.
It's a great team. I enjoy it. I had so much fun competing and can't wait to try to beat them tomorrow.
Q. I think both teams had troubles putting tonight. This year it seems like people had figured it out a little bit. Was there anything different about today? Was it where the holes were? Any explanation? Or just one of those nights?
MAX HOMA: I think it was probably just one of those nights. The short ones are tricky. I think we also had more short ones. You get certain pins especially around that bunker that have a decent amount of break, and where you leave it is pretty paramount.
Sahith had that short one early. That's one of the hardest putts you can have out here for a three-footer. So you just have those spots that it's going to be awkward. We had two horseshoes tonight.
It's tricky, but we have putted a lot better this season, but it's definitely been something we've been working on. Yeah, I just think -- it's not like everybody was hitting bad putts, just sometimes you've got to leave it in the right spot to not have such an awkward little putt.
Q. For Max, last season wasn't the best in singles for you. You've now won seven your of your last eight holes in that department this year. What do you attribute the turnaround to? Are you approaching them differently, or is it just happenstance?
MAX HOMA: Probably just happenstance. I played them quite well, made quite a few birdies in the last few matches and just tried to put pressure on them. It's been nice, I've been in the fairway a lot the last month or so here, which I just think -- especially on the par-5s, you get around the greens and it's fairly easy to make a birdie, and you've got to start with that off the tee.
That's been, I think, the key.
