Q. Joining me after the second round of the Fortinet Founders Cup is Carla Tejedo Mulet. Great round today. You're in the top 12 at the moment. Can you just talk a little bit about being out here on the LPGA and competing against the best golfers in the world?

CARLA TEJEDO MULET: You know, this is my first event in the LPGA. Obviously such a dream to be here. Just so blessed to be here having this opportunity, having my parents with me. They flew in two days ago and they're leaving Sunday night.

So flew from Spain all the way to support me. I'm just so thankful to be here. I think I put in the work. I think it's kind of showing, and I hope it keeps showing and I hope I keep having this fun. I'm having so much fun on the golf course.

I think that's why we play golf, and just want to keep being in this Cloud 9 I would say.

Q. This is your first event. Can you talk a little bit about if there are any players out here, rookies that you have a strong relationship with?

CARLA TEJEDO MULET: Strong relationship with? Spanish people. Carolina and Julia. I done the journey with them from being 12 years old in the Spanish National Team until now turning pro. We played eery single world championship together, every European team championship together, and I think it makes it way easier for me seeing them here.

So it's a happiness. It's something that helps me having this at ease seeing them every day in the clubhouse hitting balls. It just makes my smile seeing people that I know from college too. Like Laney Frye. She's one of the best. Seeing people I played Epson Tour with. Hailee Cooper, Leah John, yeah, makes me really happy.

Q. Heading into the weekend, your first made cut on Tour. Talk about your approach and how you're managing the excitement of the week.

CARLA TEJEDO MULET: Well, I think the excitement has to go into the having fun also. Because that's what I've been having this past couple days. I just been enjoying my caddie, Juan. Just been having so much fun.

Sometimes we forget why we do this and I think this is just a bit of a reminder. At least for me, that this is why I started and I started this as a hobby and now it's my job obviously. I just love having fun and having that reminder of it.

I'm not going to change anything going into the weekend. I'm just really proud, really blessed to be in this position and making the cut at my first event.

Yeah, just having fun. Enjoying. Obviously like hopefully I get to play with some big names. I'm so excited. It's kind of crazy going into the practice rounds and stuff like hitting balls, seeing Nelly and all the big names, Lilia. Just makes me kind of like be in shock. What am I doing here, next to them?

But it's just like it's kind of reassurance for me. I've done what I needed to do. That's just paying off. That's why I'm here. Just so happy for it.
