FORTINET FOUNDERS CUP

March 20, 2026

Aditi Ashok

Menlo Park, California, USA

Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Joining me after the second round of the Fortinet Founders Cup is Aditi Ashok. 6-under round today. Tied for the best round of the day at the moment. Talk about what was going well for you out there.

ADITI ASHOK: Yeah, yesterday I feel like was a good day but I just didn't really stay aggressive. I was just trying to make par and hit middle of the green. I saw the leaderboard and everyone is shooting super low numbers so I figured I have to be more aggressive throughout the round.

So that's the mindset I came in with today and I think it worked you because right off the bat I was hitting it pretty close. First hole I think I missed the green but after that I was hitting it pretty close.

Had a couple short putts for birdie and made a couple mid-range ones. It was just a good start to the round. I wish I had kept it going because I felt like the hitting stayed with me all days and I had enough good looks for birdie, but after the bogey on the par-3 I kind of missed few putts there in a row.

Although they were pars I was just missing birdies, which is not a bad thing, but just wish I could have had the same round all through 18 holes.

Q. This is the first time they've hosted an event at this golf course. Now that you've had two rounds, can you give us some impressions about it and what sticks out about it?

ADITI ASHOK: Yeah, I think it's obviously one of those where you wants to be only the fairway. Sometimes doesn't matter if you have an extra club in you just want to be off the short grass. That's important.

Yeah, I think if you know how to close the undulations to your advantage, you can hit a lot of shots closer than you think because obviously you have to hit your targets, but some of those pins are in bowls and that makes the approach game a bit easier. You're guaranteed a birdie putt inside ten feet. I guess taking advantage of those pin positions is important, too.

Q. In your first event of the season at Blue Bay you finished T3. Can you talk about state of your game coming off the offseason?

ADITI ASHOK: Yes, usually I feel like I don't start off great after the off season. I feel like I need a couple weeks to get into it. This year has been a bit different. Feel like I've had a really long off season so I've just been waiting to start playing. Maybe that's why I played so great in Blue Bay.

It's golf. You never really know why something happens or doesn't. Just happy I'm playing well right now.
