Q. Joaco, on a day where so many of the great players and the top players faltered, struggled in these tough conditions, you put on a clinic, 5-under, two bogeys your only blemish. Was it more of a mental challenge today or just a technical master class?

JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: Yeah, I think it was one of those days, I was in a great position, a few strokes behind. I feel like my game is getting better, my iron shots are getting better and better. It was a good test today with this wind.

Yeah, I was able to take advantage of it. I just wanted to have a little bit more. I felt like I left a few putts out there, a few shots out there, but I'm just really happy the way I hit the ball today.

Q. 2023 you finished 10th, 2024, seventh, won last year. What is it with Sentosa that agrees with your golf game?

JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: I don't know. I feel like it's one of those courses that fits me pretty good, just coming back from something like Hong Kong last week where if you're not making one birdie every two holes, you're losing spots. I feel like my patience wasn't there in Hong Kong and I feel like here is one of those courses that you've got to be hitting the ball pretty good and not missing too often, and there's not many birdie opportunities out there. I feel like I'm able to work my patience a little bit better and stay calm, hit my golf shots, and I think that's what I've been doing.

I had so much fun hitting a few shots out there that just make it all worth it.
