BLUE BAY LPGA

March 7, 2026

Hye-Jin Choi

Hainan Island, Republic of China

Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Obviously very solid third round. Recap a little bit about your performance today.

HYE-JIN CHOI: So I had a really good start of the round and my shot was really good and I had lots of birdie chances. I also made a lot of long putts.

The back nine it was not a really good situation compared to the front nine, but I made a lot of good saves.

Q. What was the reason for the back nine like that? Talk about that.

HYE-JIN CHOI: So I think it was the wind. Because of the wind I couldn't hit my second shot near the pin. Especially hole 10 and 13 there was a lot of wind into me, so I hit hybrid so second shot it was hard to get my score and I missed some birdie putts.

I think that was the reason of it.

Q. (Not translated. )

HYE-JIN CHOI: I had a lot of win in Korea and I had a lot of chances in the United States when I came to the LPGA, so I really want to play well tomorrow. I want to think it's the first round and I want to keep on my pace.

Q. (Not translated. )

HYE-JIN CHOI: I had the last round left. I am actually playing four in a row now so I'm a little bit tired and I'm going to rest well.

I'm going to think it's not competing for the trophy but thinking about going back to Korea makes me a little excited. So I'm just trying to enjoy my round tomorrow.

Q. So you played with two Chinese players. What do you think about yourself play with two Chinese player today?

HYE-JIN CHOI: Actually those two players are players who I have played with before, so especially Ronni, I played with here three rounds in a row. She's really good, so I tried to learn from her also and tried to concentrate on my play.

Q. So you used to be the top place in KLPGA prize money. You think it's any advantage when you play in KLPGA get through to the LPGA Tour and especially there were more and more Chinese player who played KLPGA? What do you think about the situation?

HYE-JIN CHOI: When I played in KLPGA there were not much Chinese players but there were some of them. Because of them, I think Korean players also have opportunities to play with other country players. I think it improves them, too.

And Korean and China I think it improves each other, so...
